Elder Sign
I just finished a Solo Elder Sign game using the Unseen
Forces Expansion for the first time. The Inv. was Monterey Jack & the GOO Glaaki both chosen randomly. The Game went 29 Adventure Cards & only 2 Doom Tokens before I got all 12 Elder Signs to win. I tend to lose Elder Sign more often than not but with Jack's ability to get an extra unique item & the unique item he started with was Holy Water which got him Blessed & thus the white die, made things a lot easier. I was able to keep him Blessed most of the Game & with the extra Unique Items I usually had the use of the Red or Yellow die most turns. I like the Mythos Cards Unseen Forces adds that give a choice of effects ,usually there both bad but often you can work out which is the lesser evil. The Gift Shop got closed down about half way through but Jack was able to pick up enough stuff from winning Adventure rewards to keep supplied. Unseen Forces replace the Elder Sign entrance Card with 4 separate Cards & now certain Mythos effects can close them. RE: Elder Sign
Well back to my usual results ,Nyarlathoep ate Mark Harrington for Lunch.
Mark has a good ability to ignore Arrows on Tasks but it didn't matter the dice just hated him. I would have like 1 die to go to win the Adventure Card & 4 die left but could not roll a match. I only managed 1 Elder sign & only won 3 Cards plus I had an Adventure Card that gave me a Doom Token every Midnight which I just could not win. At least it was a short Game. I play a House Rule that the Inv, must move randomly until he gets 3 Elder Signs (the bases of this is that the Inv. know enough about what he/She is dealing with at the start). That makes things a little harder but with the dice I was rolling it really didn't maker.
