Wink A Touch of Evil 10 Year Anniversary - Painted at Last
This is my favorite board game! Been playing it with wife since before we were married, and used it to introduce my children to board gaming too so it holds a very special place in my heart. Very happy to have finally painted it. ❤ It was a fun project, and the kids all love it and wanted to be involved.

I've had this game since 2009. I began experimenting with painting minis around 2013 for a short period when I briefly tried Malifaux, a 2 player skirmish game that didn't seem as intimidating as I only needed to paint 5-6 minis at a time. I was filled with trepidation at the thought of painting my board games because I was afraid I would ruin them!

Finally about 9 months ago I made the decision to paint aToE at long last when a friend brought up his decision to paint Mansions of Madness. I determined to give myself a few other projects before tackling the white whale, as I was not confidant at all about getting it right without significant practice. I got started on a bunch of Shadows of Brimstone minis, before going big with painting Project Elite, a CMON mini heavy game. Finally in March I set my eyes to my long favorite game and began work. It's been slow but incredibly gratifying. This is also one of my kids' favorite games and we had a fantastic time breaking out the final painted version of all the characters today.

I gathered a lot of inspiration from things shared here by previous posters. Thanks for everything along the way! Old Dward and SamuraiTrev especially. You guys rock!

Jeez, anyone know how to resize images? None of the options I'm familiar with seem to work.

Well, Raynor. That's a huge mission accomplished from me!Watchmen02 +1 Rep I know how many hours you must have spent on these figures! I love the fact that you've painted all the buildings and busts of the townsfolk as well. I noticed, you used some object source lighting effects on the windows (a great touch). I'm sure your family appreciates the work you put in too as this level of dedication really adds to the game.

As regards to adding photos.
1) you need to resize them (pixel dimensions) at no larger than:
Length: 988
Height: 580. (This is the most important)
This will ensure your images will fit to the screen. It drops the resolution but the images will still look good unless they're zoomed into really close.

2) Some cropping and a levels auto fix is a bonus too. I use a really old program called Microsoft Photo Premium 10 I'm sure there's loads of better photo editing stuff out there. I can just about get by with editing photos. If you need any more advice, let me know, either on the boards or PM.

One more thing, because I'm so impressed. I'm going to send you a spare AToE Villain I have. I can send it unpainted or I could paint it. Just let me know which you'd prefer.

I hope you will carry on the painting, you're good at it (thumbs up)

Wow! Thanks! That's really kind of you, but no need to go to such trouble for me. Your kind words and inspirational work is enough for me.

Also thanks for the tips on resizing. I'll take another look and see if I can fix the original post here.
