Number Of Players in Co-op?

Just wondering if this game can be played with 4 teams of 4 characters in a competitive/Co-op way while still being viable?

You could do it mechanically, no doubt, but there would be a lot of down time. There are a couple of considerations with down time in this game. One is you have to roll to Move. If you've waited for 15 turns to get your go and you roll a 2 when you needed a 3 you're done for another 15 turns. Second is that every round someone is the first player and runs the Mystery phase when it comes around meaning 30 turns go by before that player gets to go again.

I know the Mystery phase/first player mechanic is a little different in Team play. The First Player moves from team to team meaning a whole team will be off when the Mystery phase comes. In the case of 4 teams of 4 then there will be a team each round waiting for 24 turns before those players get to go again.

I have played games where 3 of us have played 2 heroes each and it was a fun but time consuming process. Actually playing with 6 or more people though, instead of 6 or so heroes is not really fun.
