The zombie was still killed due to a fight otherwise the meatcleaver would not have gone into effect. To me it seems that the only cards that the zombie player wouldn't be able to play are fight cards due to the zombie being dead before you could play them. Bitten isn't a fight card and can only be played after a zombie has been killed by a hero. Since the zombie was instantly killed in a fight bitten should be able to be played.

Yeah, but the zombie can't bite the Hero (can't deal a wound) if its instantly killed. So the fight isn't what's in question. It's the wound, which cannot be dealt because of the cleavers instant ability.

"From the shards of tattered dreams, I rose - unwilling... Tossed upon tides of pain that flowed and ebbed and left me searingly awake. And more revoltingly - alive..."

even if the zombie was killed instantly it was still killed due to the fight occuring. if there was no fight then you could never roll a fight dice for the cleaver to take effect. So for the cleavers ability to activate there has to be a fight and when it instantly kills the zombie the zombie has died from a fight. dealing a wound isn't mentiond as being necessary to play bitten.

RE: Bitten vs Meat Cleaver?
Bitten
Play this card on a Hero when they kill a Zombie in a fight. The next time the Hero would be wounded, instead they are turned into a Zombie Hero.

Meat Cleaver Kills, Play the event card. There is no mention of a Hero taking an actual wound.

For theatrics, imagine as the Hero swung the cleaver and chopped the Zombies head off. As the head fell, its teeth scratched the Heros leg. OR the head actually feel on the Heros foot. Then the Hero had to kick it off, the head flys across the room and lands....well.. thats another story Watchmen02

RE: Bitten vs Meat Cleaver?
Bitten is also not a fight card, but an event, which made me lean more toward it being playable in the first place. I just wanted to make sure that, thematically, a meat cleaver kill still counted as killing in a fight.

RE: Bitten vs Meat Cleaver?
I'm glad that most of us agree on this situation Watchmen02 My friend Mr Onearm agrees with you other guys about the Resilient thread, so we have a fun argument over this thread, and that thread.

Even though he doesn't agree, he doesn't like me using "this could be our last night" card to any off the Heroes unless its and Male/Female pair, but he settled on it being my house rule so hes ok with it.

Hi, Yes it is Totally my house rule. In my game club I play it as stated on the card. Not much joy, but I have expressed my feeling about the card. yes, Total house rule.
