RE: Custom LNoE Soundtrack?
Well as we can add more than one I have to include the great Johnny Cash track, "When The Man Comes Around"

This was used for the opening credits of the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead to great effect.

Check out the opening credits here if you haven't seen the film:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdPWrAMXGGo

Here are the lyrics:

Opening Introduction (Spoken part)

And I heard as it were the noise of thunder
One of the four beasts saying come and see and I saw
And behold a white horse

Song

There's a man going around taking names
And he decides who to free and who to blame
Everybody won't be treated all the same
There'll be a golden ladder reaching down
When the Man comes around

The hairs on your arm will stand up
At the terror in each sip and in each sup
Will you partake of that last offered cup?
Or disappear into the potter's ground
When the Man comes around

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers
One hundred million angels singing
Multitudes are marching to the big kettledrum
Voices calling, voices crying
Some are born and some are dying
It's Alpha and Omega's kingdom come

And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree
The virgins are all trimming their wicks
The whirlwind is in the thorn tree
It's hard for thee to kick against the pricks

Till Armageddon no shalam, no shalom
Then the father hen will call his chickens home
The wise man will bow down before the throne
And at His feet they'll cast their golden crowns
When the Man comes around

Whoever is unjust let him be unjust still
Whoever is righteous let him be righteous still
Whoever is filthy let him be filthy still
Listen to the words long written down
When the Man comes around

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers
One hundred million angels singing
Multitudes are marching to the big kettledrum
Voices calling and voices crying
Some are born and some are dying
It's Alpha and Omega's kingdom come

And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree
The virgins are all trimming their wicks
The whirlwind is in the thorn tree
It's hard for thee to kick against the pricks

In measured hundred weight and penney pound
When the Man comes around.

Close (Spoken part)
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts
And I looked and behold, a pale horse
And his name that sat on him was Death
And Hell followed with him.

RE: Custom LNoE Soundtrack?
I would suggest something by Gothminister.
Either:
"Monsters"
Why do you believe in monsters?
We have been locked up in this evil house
It is where you live with your wicked monsters
We are the prisoners of death and decay
It is where you live, but your dreams betray
You are brave, to feel save
In a mean caress
You are gone, you’re the one
We are praying for you
Why do you believe in hell?
Why do you believe in love divine?
In your dark and twisted mind
And with the force of any evil spell
Repulsive hymns will unleash the creatures
Disturbing images of decadence
Where is the beauty between the devils hands?

or:
"March Of The Dead"
Could it be that you're feeling down again
Could it be that you're crawling faster
Can you bring back the dead
You are seeing the visions from the past
You are here to join us soon
And make it forever last
We are so beautiful
We are so cold
One day you'll join us
Or you will forever long
Could it be that wanna go before
Could it be that you love the thought
Of not being anymore
If you dare come and watch the sight
Of a crowd immortalised
Marching in the night

I like the first one better, but the lyrics in the latter are probably more relevant...

RE: Custom LNoE Soundtrack?
Johhny Cash WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO !!
My vote goes to Gothminister's "March of the dead"

Since I'm a musicnut I have another one. Hope you guys don't mind but wel The Misfits just can't be left out on this one.

"Hunting Humans"

Upon this threshold of disaster
The birth of the eleventh plague
The fires burn at night, I begin to doubt the smell of burning flesh
Will ever fade away

The touch of death is all around us
A thousand corpses block our way
A man-made germ makes almost everyone commit suicide
Just to rise and eat their dead
Night of the living Dead...

We're hunting humans
We're hunting humans
We're hunting humans
It's killing time every day

I can't control this eerie feeling
An evil screaming in my head
I don't think I'll last the night
There is no cure
For this genocide
This resurrection of the dead
Night of the living Dead...

We're hunting humans...

I am the reason God stopped watching.

RE: Custom LNoE Soundtrack?
Stabbing Westward, "Goodbye". I imagine a hero killing himself, knowing that all hope is lost.

"So this is where I say goodbye
This is where my story ends
And if there's one thing that I've learned from life
It's that it gets you in the end
So goodbye my friend
Goodbye
Goodbye my friend
Goodbye"

or

"Drowning". When listened to with the perspective of an infected person slowly turning into one of the undead, the song gains a particular feeling of hollow sadness.

"I'm drowning in nothing
Nothing real
Nothing left
Nothing
I'm losing myself
Sinking deeper down

Silently leaving
This behind
Nothing left but me

I'm hating myself
Hating myself
Everyone hates me now

Everyone has changed
Everything has changed
Everyone has changed
But me"

RE: Custom LNoE Soundtrack?
Canadian Pittbull Wrote:What about Michael Jackson's Thriller? Classic and I even painted one of my Zombies up like him. Even added "the glove". It is his Beat It jacket I know but didn't really feel like doing a conversion.

That zombie only likes to eat little boys. Zombie17

I had to remove Thriller from the soundtrack. It didn't fit well with the others and there wasn't enough space for it on the CD. With that said, disk one of the soundtrack is complete. Thanks to those that contributed. I really appreciate it. If there is no more interest, I will be locking this thread and designing the cd soon.

mqstout... could you add an avatar please? Thanks!

It's probably too late for this, but I like Tool's Eulogy. It's dark and ominous. The lyrics may not be perfrct for a zombie game, but not far off.

RE: Custom LNoE Soundtrack?
I think Amenra would make a fine addition to this list. Especially to create this specific atmosphere.

Just listen to "Ritual" on YouTube & judge for yourself:

It builds up to some very nice climaxes!
