Defend the Winchester
Tonight we played the Defend the Manor scneraio as Defend the Winchester as atip-of-the-hat to the Shaun of the Dead film. I used the two fan-generated characters of Shaun and Ed available in the downloads section of this site.

I have to say that Ed's special ability is way too powerful. Using Growing Hunger rule he was able to draw in zombies and then instantly kill any and all zombies in his space (they only need 1 wound). So this cancelled any and all combat in his space.

Did we play it right? Should his ability be applied after normal combat so that he may still take wounds even if he takes the zombies out with him?

RE: Defend the Winchester
The title gave me a bit of a shock, as i am working on Shaun of the Dead Characters and Scenarios, and one of them is called "Defend the Winchester"....

I think I'll post a 'work in progress' thread soon to keep me motivated and to get feedback.

Ha ha - great minds think alike. I also notice that LNOE scenarios have been put into a TWD Campaign, so often no need to develop new scenarios.

I've been thinking a lot about Ed's ability as developed on this site (see Downloads) and I think I either misunderstood (any D3 result will kill a normal 1 x wound zombie) or that it needs modifying. Ideas include:

* applies to 1 zombie only in same square
* after use, roll 1D6 - on a 1 Ed suffers "bakdraft" and takes 1 x wound himself

Good luck with the project and by the way, you've got red on you Zombie03

Thanks. I'm not impressed by the card and I wouldn't use it. I don't think it's been thought through and is way OP.

I agree 100%

By the way Hasslefree miniatures do Shaun of the Dead look-a-likes.

I painted Shaun here

+ Zombiefied version

I converted Ed into the Townsfolk T-Bone

Follow this link to check out the models they're called Ray and Tony http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?category=m...dventurers

Hope this helps!
