Do you all take Town Elders to a Showdown

Just to play devils advocate, as pointed out earlier, there are a few times you don't want to take them. If the Shadow Track is too low, it may not be a good idea, unless you have some good Events to protect them. If the Villain is one who is powered up by Elder deaths & is already too buff would be another. Watchmen02

True. Though, for one thing, if it were very early on you may not want to bother to go after the villain at all. It really depends. Granted, it isn't like you are out of the game if you lose, so on the one hand why not go after the villain? But, you also don't get off completely free if you lose and get knocked out. You suffer a penalty. Plus, the villain heals every mystery round, so it could very well end up being for nothing.

Not that I am saying you never want to go for the villain early. Just that it is more likely that you won't bother.

It's definitely a balancing act. Go after him before he gets to strong, and YOU may not be strong enough, wait until you're strong enough, and HE may be too strong, or the Shadow Track may run out. Watchmen02

As long as their deaths don't end the game by moving the shadow track then yes.
