RE: Emp's Post Gets Me Thinking...
What perfect timing. I am in the navy and have just this month been stationed in the Midwest. I used to live in ct! I feel so close yet so very far.

Through victory my chains are broken.

I'm just putting a feeler out there...

Sounds fun but realistically it would have to work out just right for me to make considering work and family obligations. Thus I voted maybe.

RE: Emp's Post Gets Me Thinking...
Sure, I would, But living in Bama would make it a decently far drive
where ever the meet would take place. If there was a comic or game
convention happening in the area, that would make more than worth
it to travel. Having a mini vacation, playing games with everyone here,
and enjoying a sweet convention... I'd be down.

RE: Emp's Post Gets Me Thinking...
@ PJ
Thats not a convention... that is really more like your game shop doing
a tournament, or place you game at. I'm talking about a Comicon type
event where there would be some really awesome stuff and people
dressed up and some sweet swag. Although, I'm sure the event you are
talking about will be nice and have quite a few people, to get me to
drive... or fly... to Maryland from Alabama, I'm looking for a bit bigger
scale of event.

RE: Emp's Post Gets Me Thinking...
Hi Pred, ohhhhh You mean like these

http://www.otakon.com/

Its the largest Jap anime convention in the country. ". I'm talking about a Comicon type
event where there would be some really awesome stuff and people
dressed up and some sweet swag." Otakon is not so much for gamers, more of a fantasy-party crowd. The raves after midnight are awesommmme.

yup yup they got that

http://www.balticon.org/

Is very similair, but more of a sci-fi or Steam Punk. "type
event where there would be some really awesome stuff and people
dressed up and some sweet swag."

Otakon is more of the 12 to 21 year olds. Balticon is more of the 16 to 61 year olds. Im actually sitting on 2 Gaming panels at Balticon this year.

http://euroquest.gamesclubofmd.org/

This convention is for Gamers. It features some of the newest games from Europe, before they get to USA. It like an actual Game Tourneyment. Very Kewl if your into games Watchmen02 Watchmen02 Watchmen02

Game Days, "Although, I'm sure the event you are
talking about will be nice and have quite a few people"

Game Days is a local gaming event held by my/our game group. Mainly its a way to hang out with friends and practice, learn or improve your skill at games. Because Game Days is some what relaxed. they have allowed me to hold a little competition.

Ohhh FYI

http://www.flyingfrogwiki.com/ffpwiki/in...on_C._Hill

Jason C. Hill is Flying Frog's President and Lead Designer. He has a long history in both the video game industry and the traditional game industry. Jason was enthralled with gaming at an early age and began designing games at an early age. His early favorites included D&D, GURPS, Car Wars, Warhammer, Epic 40,000, Warhammer 40K, Magic: The Gathering, and countless others. Gaming went from a hobby to more serious business as Jason and his Brother, Scott, became the first Outriders for Games Workshop (running events and conventions, including Games Day each year in Baltimore, MD). Among other traditional game work, Jason did some card art for Wizards of the Coast and playtested for Privateer Press during the development of War Machine.

It would be nice to meet you and yours Watchmen02
