RE: Happy Day Raynor
I ordered a rare land for my Magic deck, which I've been telling myself I didn't need for the last 2 years. I happened to check prices on the day and found it for a very nice price and figured it would be a nice treat. I used to play magic weekly pre-pandemic, but have dropped down to just a few remaining decks and branched out into experimenting with a lot more 2-3 player board games which I can play at home. I have played a few new board games which have been a lot of fun recently. Will need to post about those in another thread. Watchmen02

Aside from that I just ordered some board game sleeves for a few expensive, hard to replace games that see a lot of play but don't have great quality cards. Years ago I played Lord of the Rings LCG and sleeved it in Fantasy Flight board gaming sleeves, and when I stopped I told myself NEVER AGAIN! I hated the huge thickness which doubled the storage needs, feel of shuffling, and long floppy tops that bent under pressure of those sleeves. I have since realized that I generally prefer nearly every sleeve in existence more than the fantasy flight sleeve brand. I just prefer the sleeve to fit snuggly on the card more than anything I suppose. Most games don't really need sleeves, but games that see a lot of shuffling wear faster, and my copy of Dominion is SAD. That one's easily replaced, but a lot of games I like are expensive, contain a lot of expansions, or just go out of print so sleeving them is actually worthwhile. Shadows of Brimstone was the first I set my mind to a few months ago so I took the plunge on a few more games at the end of last month too.
