Ghost Soldiers
So...

Can Inspector Cooke use the Tools of Science to use Cunning against Ghost Soldiers, or is he just screwed and forced to rely on his meager Spirit? Similarly, is the Militia utterly useless against Ghost Soldier (due to the +1 to Combat and not Fight dice)?

RE: Ghost Soldiers
Ghost Soldiers require Spirit be used instead of Combat. Thus Tools of Science
doesn't apply to them as it only allows Cunning to be subsituted for Combat
and the Hero can't use Combat against them.

Likewise Milita is indeed useless as its +1 Combat can't be used.

RE: Ghost Soldiers
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. We were playing Inspector Cooke and Katarina vs The Spectral Horseman last night and we got OWNED hard. Bad, bad combination.

RE: Ghost Soldiers
We select our Villains & Heros on a random basis,
so you can get some "bad"combinations but it makes
the game more challenging.

RE: Ghost Soldiers
My friend and I are currently cycling through the villains, but using random pairs of heroes.

We started with Karl and Isabella Von Took and absolutely owned the Werewolf. It was ugly.
