Hey Look LNoE painted up!
Finally got some pictures up..this is my first time ever painting. Once I looked through samuraitrev's painted figures I just had to try it myself. And with a little bit of helpful hints and tips I tried painting. They're not perfect so please go easy on me haha but any type of positive/negative comments are welcome!

And that's that! There are some grey spots now because of storage i'm assuming and a couple games of play..i should use some better varnish I guess

RE: Hey Look LNoE painted up!
Welcome to the fantastic hobby of painting. I think for your first go at painting you did a good job. Each figure is instantly recognisable. I like the use of extra details such as the Red crosses on Becky, the blood on Jenny's chainsaw, Johnny's badge and buttons. I can also see you tried your hand at shading and highlighting with Father Joseph's flaming torch and his hair. If I could give you a couple of tips.
Make sure you get a good undercoat so the paint sticks to the figures properly and as you said a good varnish will protect your paint job. As you paint your base coat make sure you get a solid colour before you move onto shading it or highlighting it.

+1 Rep let's see the Zombies painted up next with those points in mind. Keep it up Zach and happy painting!

Nice! Very good for being your first attempt. I'm keen on painting my figures as well, and even more so after seeing people paint theirs Watchmen02

I think applying an undercoat before painting the minis will help improve your work! Its easier to paint on and makes for a better end result. I'm sure trev's guide can help you there.

Best of luck, and practice makes perfect! Watchmen02
