Clowns could have a seltzer bottle, fire extinguisher, a bomb, stilts, massive shoes, a mini bicycle, a tiny car... They would be the all-rounder character with a range of gadgets.

To be honest, I'm more surprised they included a bearded lady. Fire-eater and trick shooter are going to be good at ranged attacks, strongman and bear would be melee specialists, ringmaster would have leadership abilities, contortionist obviously agile. No skills or talents spring to mind for what a bearded lady could bring to the party which is born out by her having really generic abilities. They really missed a trick by including her and not more useful characters such as a clown, magician, acrobat, lion tamer, trapeze artist etc. even some of the Carnie NPCs have immediately more interesting effects than a bearded lady.

I am a big fan of clowns, especially when they are evil. So, I'd have been in favor of a clown hero... but even more so if he were a bit twisted. LOL! Like, maybe he's enjoying this whole martian invasion and the ensuing fights a little TOO much. :-)

Probably didn't include the clown because the Martians or Zombies wouldn't be the scariest part of the game
