ILL Met at Eightpoints#5A(Sudden Death)

[Old Dwarf]

Theddra Skull-Scryer had led her Godsworn Hunt Warband across the Bloodwind Spoil seeking a habitable Territory
to claim. The unforgiving twisted nature of the region meant that any region that could support life had already
been claimed by other Warbands seeking acceptance into Archaon's Forces. The Godsworm had been driven off their
territory by the Ravagers & then a failed attempt to seize territory from the Eyes of the Nine had left the
Godsworn wanderers barely able to scrap by. Theddra knew that by striving in spite of adversity would be viewed
favorably by Archaon but acceptance by the Everchosen required acquiring Territory & holding it.
Now she had brought her Warband to the Soulflayer Desert & had discovered two slightly alkaline oasis it looked
like a promising place to establish a camp but upon approach they noticed another Warband was present & Theddra
saw the obscene banners of Slaanesh worshipers. The Godsworn Hunt prepared for battle welcomed the chance to redeem
themselves from past defeats & also for the action of combat to warm themselves from the bitter Cold Snap which
had settled in on the Bloodwind Spoil.

Vasillac The Gifted & his Dread Pageant Warband was out gathering the dwarf twisted branches of the stunted trees
that grew around the oasis for firewood to keep their campfires burning doing this period of intense cold.Noticing
the fighters approaching from the East he alerted his Warband to prepare to defend their Territory

Thedda seeing the Dread Pageant had spotted her fighters immediately moved to seize the nearest oasis

Vasillac realizing the Godsworn were after the water source sent Glissete to guard the other oasis

Jagathra moved quickly countering Glissete with a Harrying Strike, the javelin found its mark (3damage)

Slakeslash the Dread's huge Gor moved to aid Glissete attacking Jagathra his sword wounding the Godsworn(3damage)

Ollo moved to get a clear Harrying Shot on Slakeslash but missed as the arrow went wide(0damage)

Vasillac moving Lithe & Swift & thrust Jagathra with the Agonizing Spear & takes the Godsworn out(8damage)

Shond moves in & attacks Slakeslash the glancing blow gives the Gore more wounds(2damage)

Vasilliac seeing that Hadzu hasn't returned launches on an attack on Ollo the Agonizing Spear piercing
the Godsworn & taking him down(10damage)

Thedda holding down the 1st oasis sees the attempts to take the 2nd oasis have failed with the cost 2 of the Fighters.
Luckly Grundann has appeared on the battlefield & she orders him to attack Hadzu who also just returned to the battlefield
just North of the Oasis she controls.Grundann moves & catches Hadzu with the firewood still in his hands & lands a
powerful blow (6damage)

Hadzu transformed into a Cavalcade of Madness by his wounds sends a barrage of arrows into Grundann (11damage)

Theddra seeing Grundann is still on his feet & able to cover the Oasis moves out to get within range of Vasilliac
flings Dark Bolts at the Dread Leader but he avoids them (0damage)

Vasilliac filled with Battle Lust turns on Shond & the Agonizing Spear thrust home taking the Godsworn out(19damage)

Grundann seeing Theddra has left the Oasis uncovered breaks off from Hadzu & moves to protect the Oasis

Slakeslash feeling Vasilliac Battle Lust goes after the Godsworn leader his Lethal Fury strikes home on Theddra
(8damage)

Theddra counterattacks her wand smashing into the big Gor (9damage)

Glissete keeps guard over the 1st Oasis suffering from the extreme cold(1damage)

Grundann reaches the 2nd Oasis to reestablish control

Vasilliac with one Oasis safely under guard by Glissete presses his Fighters to drive the remaining Godsworn
away from the 2nd Oasis.Slakeslash seeing Grundann at the Oasis breaks off from Theddra & driven by a
Cavalcade of Madness move to attack Grundann his slashing sword overcomes the Godsworn & takes him down(6damage)
& take control of the Oasis

Grawl hearing the sounds of combat arrives to find Thredda facing 4 enemy fighters & moves to be able to contest
the Oasis with Slakeslash but stays out of reach of the Gor

Glissete continues to guard the 1st Oasis in spite of the bitter cold(1damage)

Theddra in a desperate position is consumed with Battle Lust & moves to attack Slakeslash who easily parries
her blows (0damage)

Hadzu moves to aid Slakeslash hold the Oasis

Theddra continues to lash out at Slakeslash this time her wand hits(4damage)

Vasilliac moves in on Theddra his slashing sword strikes through & she goes down(8damage)

Grawl the warhound continues the hopeless struggle by attacking Hadzu his jawls bite deep but the Dread
manages to keep standing.

The Dread now control both Oasis & Grawl the lone Godsworn survivor retreats leaving the Oasis to the Dread
Pageant Fighters.Slakeslash finds a Skin of Flame-Ale among the Jettsen of the battlefield.

The Godsworn Lose Again. they outnumbered the Dread 6 to 4 but the Dread can take more damage & are tougher.
The Battle Card Victory condition was 5 rounds or whoever manage to control both objectives (Oasis) at
the end of a round.

The Godsworn lost half their Fighters trying to punch through the Dread to get to the 1st Oasis & then didn't
have the strength to hold on to the 2nd Oasis. Slakeslash & Vasilliac are the key fighters for the Dread
so for the Godsworn to win they have to eliminate/neutralize them.

The Dread get their 1st Conversion & it penalize them by cutting their movement by -1 which will make all
the Godsworn faster in the next battle.
