Ill Met at Eightpoints#2-C (The Comet)

The Eyes of the Nine having forced the Godsworn Hunt out of the Territory continue to hunt for the Screaming Coil.
The screaming noise seems especially strong in the region they enter but as it seems to come from everywhere its
hard to pin down. Vortemis spreads the warband out to try to pin down the corrupted Soul Engines location.

The Godsworn Hunt has not given up and under cover of the rising Goremoon has silently located the enemy warband.Thedda
sees a bit of luck as the Eyes of the Nine are spread out & obviously unaware of her warbands presence. She sees Vortenis
is separated from her Fighters & decides to mob the Eyes of the Nine leader. Thedda moves & attacks Vortenis in hand to
hand combat swinging her Wand in an Oathsworn attack which lands true (4damage)

Vortemis counter attacks casting a couple Bolts of Change at Thedda stunning her (12 Damage)

Jacathra charges Vortemis her spear toss grazes of the Sorcerer (4damage)

Narvis targets Jarathra using words of Arcane Power cast 2 Sorcerous Bolts which stagger her(8damage)

Grundann obeying Thedda's orders moves toward Vortemis

Turosh also invokes Arcane Words of Power moves in range & cast a Sorcerous Bolt at Jarathra & she goes down (4damage)

Grawl charges into Vortemis but the Sorceror easily sidesteps the assualt (0damage)

Vortemis now cast another Bolt of Change at Thedda & the Skull-Scryer goes down(6damage)

Suddenly the murky skies of the Bloodwind Spoil are illuminated by an arching light that smashes down in the SW
of the battle ground. Both Warbands realize it's a challenge from Sigmar & the bits of iron thrown out must be subject
to desecration. The warband that can bits of iron to the Dark Priest at Varanspire will be well rewarded. Both Thedda
& Vortemis drive their Fighters to secure the crash site.

Vortemis sends Narvis to secure the crash site.

Thedda orders Grundann to move to contest Narvis control of the crash side, Grundann seeing his Hunting Pack
companion in the distance calls for him to come support him

Turosh moves to support Narvis & calling on words of Arcane Powers brings his cursed blade down on Grundann (8damage)

Grawl runs to aid Grundann at the Crash site

Vortimis moves & throws a Bolt of Change at Grawl & takes the war hound down (8damage)

Shond makes a head long charge into Narvis & in a series of attacks takes the Godsworn down(11damage)

K'Charik entering the battlefield sees Narvis go down & Vortemis yelling Secure The Crash Site! moves
quickly to do just that & takes control.

Grundann immediately attacks K'Charik but although he hits (4damage) it's not enough to force K'Charil
to give ground & he maintains control of the Crash Site

The Eyes of the Nine now close in on the 3 remaining Godsworns Turosh invokes Empowered Bolts & cast a
Sorcerous Bolt at Grundann taking him down(8damage)

Shond attacks renews to attack on K'Charik managing 2 hits (6damage) but K'Charik still stands & denies
entrance to the Crash Site

K'Charik now counterattacks his blow hitting Shond hard (11damage) & a 2nd weaker blow also hits(3damage)
leaving the Godsworn severely wounded

Ollo arriving late & seeing only the badly wounded Shond the only other warband member on his feet runs
to aid him & in a Harrying Shot puts an arrow into Turosh (2damage)

Vortemis moves & casts a Bolt of Change into Shond (4damage) it's enough to take him down

Ollo now the last of the Godsworn Hunt in another Harrying Strike puts another arrow into K'Charik taking
him out & leaving the Crash Site unguarded

Vortemis pushes himself & manages to reach the Crash Site to secure control

Ollo in a last gasp effort shoots his last arrow at Vortemis but it shot misses(0damage) now outnumbered
he has no choice but to retreat leaving the Crash Site to the Eyes of The Nine.

Again, just don't mess with Vortemis! The Sorcerer is a tank, he has enough wounds to survive a few poundings &
The Bolt of change damage is just brutal.

It got a lot worst in this Campaign at the start of the coming up 2nd round you roll a dice to locate the Objective
you need to hold to win & that roll just located the Objective on the Eyes of the Nine side of the Battle Field.

So far in this Campaign Tzeenth seems to influence the dice in his follower's favor.

The Eyes of the Nine now go on to their 3rd Convergence & could well sweep the Campaign if the win again

Wow the Eyes of the Nine sound like a nightmare to go up against. It could be a short (and bloody) campaign.

Actually, the Eyes loose the next battle (after pounding Vortemis to a pulp)
so are Reavers are still alive.

PS I just received Dread Pageant (always had a thing for Slaanesh) & Grashrak's Despoilers(Beastmen) which now gives me the 6 warbands
the Base Game has Cards/Stats/Abilities to play. The Game is based off WarCry so it's fairly easy to convert the Stats you need if you want to add more
Chaos warbands than the 6 from the Base Game.

I worked out Stats/Abilities for a Skaven warband & for Magores Fiends,Corvis Cabal & a Nurgle warband.
