Bokya, do you have Growing Hunger? It's the main thing introduced in that expansion (other than the additional heroes/cards/boards).

I do, but I haven't played any of the campaigns yet. I just assumed that they were Color code dots to use to save space during printing. For some reason, my brain went and thought that the Dots were used for custom scenarios where if the Heroes had a total of 2 dots, the Zombies needed to have 2 as well for game balance. O.o
