Name your top 4 hero's and explain why

What are the best heroes to play with and why do you pick them? What is the reason you think they are the best to play with?

Hi. It depends. I like the Sheriff with Becky. Depending on the senario, starting with a gun is a dangerous thing. ( rachelle is not a woman of action, so she can not pick up a gun ) As soon as any gun is discarded, The Sheriff can hand one to Becky. Keeping the Sheriff at a range and Becky a space away. They can run around and kill stuff, with Becky as a First Aid kit to heal the Sheriff when he gets rushed. When Becky gets wounded....well, that means the Sheriff was not keeping his girl safe. Bad Sheriff.


I also like Johnny and Sally. Both have the Youth Heal ability. Johny can Blitz and win on ties. Sally is just a "Lucky Bitch" With her re-roll ability, she can avoid most wounds. Always keeping them in seperate squares.

Since I play Zombies mostly. I like to Have the Hero's do more of a hit and run method. Avoiding swarms of Zombies. Using each Heros movements critically.

Overall, my Favorite Hero is Jenny. Jenny in the Barn or cornfeild, with a Pitchfork or Bat or better both. Throw a little Hero Resolve on her. She can then cancel any zombie in the Barn Spawning pit, or the whole L board. Zombies, unfortunitly, will follow the smell of the farm girl Its really rude when i hide Jenny in the cornfeild with a revolver.


The Amanda Bonus is nice, but it allows for to many draw backs too. LNOE Card, bickering, Self Sacrifice, etc.... If Amanda is on the board, as a zombie player. She is nothing more than a bulls eye. Eventually, she can either run or die or both. I will harass the Porn Queen, until the Heros have exhausted their cards on her. Then any Hero is an open target.

My fav since early on has been Father Joe and Nurse Becky. Cancel zombie card; heal the father; rinse; repeat. No LNOE card vulnerability either, but there are those other couple of cards to watch out for. You can pray to cancel those if you like, too.

On a side note, we just lost a game of Escape in the Truck because Bickering was played on the Truck space when the Heroes were going to refuel. It was the very last turn of the game, so the sun set, and Becky and Ash were devoured in the darkness while arguing about who got to drive.

Jake: Just getting through the hero card deck to the cards you want makes for a more fun game.
Stacy: Similar to Jake, with the added pressure for her to be in the danger zone.
Becky: No one else is so likely to get jiggy with it on the battlefield than she is.
Kenny: The hilarity that ensues when he discards a random item to kill a zombie. "You killed it with... a flashlight?"

Father Joe and Becky are my "Go to" combo when I get to choose heroes.
I like Victor in theory, but practice hasn't quite worked out yet... And I love Amanda... She might be a good target for last night on earth, but I've shut down a zombie player pretty hard to the point where he hates her, and even grumbles about how much he hates her when she's on his team as the heroes...

i dont have groing hunger but so far my favorites include.
Jake: for the card drawing abilitiy
victor: just because he can be used as a tank with the meat cleaver and baseball bat
Johnny:for blitz and wins on a tie
Sheriff anderson: just because he almost always has a gun.

The two main hero players in my group favor:
Father Joseph: For obvious reasons
Becky: For even more obvious reasons
Sally: For the re-roll ability
Jenny: Because one of the players really loves playing as a cowgirl :P

I'm predominantly a Zombie player. As a Hero player however, I like...

Jake Cartwright for card drawing ability.
Jade with the rolling doubles ability to not take a wound in a losing fight, combined with the extra fight dice with another Strange Hero in the same space.
Favourite combo is Jake + Jade.
Becky healing ability has proven invaluable, especially in the more difficult scenarios.
Mr Goddard with his permanent Fire ability has proven a winner for me... and I've taken advantage the Quick Thinking ability a number of times to draw an event from the discard pile.

Hi. Soooo ahhhhh I was playing LNOE, again, go figure. We were playing a goofy ad-lib game and got 6 heroes each. I have a total of 18 and there were to Hero Players. We rolled to see who picks first, and the sequence was going to be
Player 1 Picks first
Player 2 get the next 2 picks
then just back and forth, like in middle school

I won the die roll, I could have gone first or allowed the other player to be first. (its a very european game method of fair picking)

I took first Pick.....and i thought about it.....and thought about it....
Becky ! To my surprise Becky was my first pick. She is the only hero that can heal. My 4th Pick, Father Joe.

My Team, Becky, Father Joe, Johnny, Sally Jake and Jade
His Team, Sheriff, Rachelle, Victor, Sam, Goddard and Amanda

He had every gun and the big fighter. I was lucky enough to find garden shears and faith for the good father. Sheriff took a couple of pop shots at Becky. Then Rachelle tried to gun down Johnny, almost did it, her last shot was Just a Sratch. This angered the good father, so he chopped off sheriff and rachelles head. No more guns

My new go to crew Becky and father joe.

My top four heroes are:

1 - Sally - The girl is a machine... pulling amazing comebacks against the zombies. Hard to win even harder to kill.

2 - Jade - Take the beating and laugh in the face of danger.. this is Jade... losing a fight and gettin no damage! Truly fierceful.

3 - Amanda - The obviously Bait and Switch maneuver performed with the class of a Berverly Hills Princess... the girl turns almost any male in tower of defense. And has a pretty good chance to protect herself against harm.

4 - Johnny - Not as amazing as Sally or Jade... but winning ties... The guy has the sand... a real badass doesn't bow down for any zombie... Besides that can go on a rampage running and killing like a psycopath!! Hard to perform but incredible to watch.
