Just finished all the clothing including the boots/belts/leggans &
applied a Soft Tone Wash.When it dries I'll do a careful dry
brush to give them a little dirt.

I was going to do Ash Grey but that's close to the highlight
the regular (live) figs will get so I'm just using earth Brown.

Today it's the Chainmail/spears,shields & a Strong Tone Wash.

So I'm thinking 4/5 days to do a full Army counting basing
the Strands as Units. Which means approximately a month
for the entire project if I keep up the pace. Realistically a
better bet would be 6 weeks as the regular Shadow Army
is larger that the Fell Army & so is the Elf Army.

The Dead are Done the figs that is,I still need to
paint the Strand bases & then I can mount them on the Unit
base (40mmx20m). So that's todays project which may run into
tomorrow.24 Strands =12 Units

My new paints will arrive Monday so I can't do the Orc General &
his Guard Strand & the Legate figs until I get them.Unlike the
rest of the Army they represent Live Units so I need a Flesh
paint in the coming order to do them.

But Tech does not love OD but as I told Sam I'll try to figure it out.
Due to the Pandemic my Go To Nephew is in lock down (as are we all
here in NJ).

So I painted the Strand bases & mounted all the Strands on the 40mmx20mm
Game bases.Tomorrow I'll box the up & get ready for 24 more Orc Strands.

Today I'm boxing up the completed Fell Army & clearing my paint desk
so I can put out 25 Orc Strands+ Command Strand & 3 Oruks ( I'll be painting for the
regular Shadow Army).I have the paint for the Orc Flesh (Monster Brown) so
I'll spend the time until my new paints get here Monday to paint the Orc Strands
flesh & then soft Tone wash them.The new paint order includes the highlight
I'll dry brush the flesh with so I can get to it right away.

I'll also have a couple of Evil Human Strands ,a Legate Strand & 2 Ogres,
4 Worg Riders & 2 Elite Wolf riders Strands & 4 Worg Strands. So the first half
of April is accounted for.

The Orc Strands flesh are all done as well as the Soft Tone Wash so it's
just a matter of waiting for my paint order.I just tracking this AM & it
now indicates they will arrive today.I don't get my mail until late Afternoon
(living on the edge of forever) so can't start on the Orcs clothing until
tomorrow.

Maybe I try to paint up the skin on the Ogres & Giant ,I can't find any Midnight
material on their flesh color so I'm thinking maybe a light human flesh & red mix
for a ruddy effect?

PS-I checked Army Painter Light Flesh & it's actually rather dark so I tried it on
the Ogres & Giant & it looks ok esp. when I put on the soft tone wash. The
regular Cauc. Flesh from Reaper is lighter so that should all work out.

I also did the Human Slaver Unit & the Legate figs skin beings I had the cauc.
Flesh out. I was worried about the Army Painter Light Flesh as it was rather
gummy from setting around for a couple of years but a little drop of water
did the trick.

Got more done yesterday than planned.
I cleared the paint desk of the 24 orc
grunts strands & left only the Command
figs & some special units.

The Ogres & Giant are done (oddly Army
Painter's light flesh is rather dark so it
worked out well for these figs.I also
finished the Worg packs(4 Strands) Legate figs
& the slaver band & based them all up.

I did get my paint order so today I'm finishing up the
Command strands & the Worg Riders/Elite Worg Riders.

So tomorrow I should be able to get regular Orc strands.

PS-Just got the command Units & dissident Orcs painted as well
as the Worg Riders/Regular & Elite. The final steps for tomorrow
will be a Dark Wash for the metal parts & wood parts followed by
a harvest Brown highlight for the wood spear shafts & shields.

The Orcs need a small dry brush of Ash Grey & then I need to do the
fig.Strands base strips & base them up.The Oruks are done & based up.

Then I have the 2 Night Kings to paint so probably won't get to the
Orc Grunts until Tuesday.

All the Command Units/Worg Riders/Elite Worg Riders & the
2 Night Kings are done & based & stored.

I also dry brushed Kobold flesh highlight on the 25 Orc Strands so
I can get started on them tomorrow. I think I'll do them in 2 batches
of 12 Strands each. I'm giving myself the rest of the week to finish
up the Shadow Forces.

The 1st 6 Units of Orcs is painted up (12 Strands) I still need to paint
the Strand Bases but I'll do that tomorrow AM.Then I'll start on the 2nd
batch of 12 Strands.

I'm not going to base them up until there all finished so probably
Thursday will be completion day.

The Strand bases from the 1st 12 Strands are done.
I started the 2nd batch of 12 orc Strands so the tunics,
leggens/shoes/leathers are painted & given a soft Tone wash.

Today turned out really nice for a change so some yard work
cut into my paint time.Tomorrow I'll do the wood (Shields & spear
shafts) & metal bits.
