Painted Lonely Spirit Ally + The Banshee + The Shadow Witch Villains
Greetings all, there's spirits a'plenty tonight. Insane19

First up we have the Lonely Spirit Ally. I found a suitable ghost model by Reaper Miniatures called Lurien. Most ghosts look nasty and frightening, I needed to find something that didn't look villainous. https://www.reapermini.com/miniatures/gh...test/03170
£7.11 ($7.86)

Pros and cons of this miniature:

Pros
Fits the theme thematically well.

Cons:
RR Stamped on the actual miniature (on back at bottom of figure, I filled and hid it)
On the large side next to 28mm figures (like most Reaper miniatures)
It had a small hole in the back I had to fill

Conclusion
There's lots to like about this model but let down by the cons mentioned above.

I would rate this miniature 3/5

Next we have The Banshee Villain. I found this 3D printed model supplied by a company called scattermasters https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/11103617...h_15&sts=1
£7.81 ($8.75)
It originally came with a set of steps but I didn't really like them. It wouldn't make sense if the figure was moving around the board.

Pros and cons of this miniature:

Pros
Fits the theme thematically well.
Good sculpt

Cons:
Hard to fault

Conclusion
I like this figure. There's some out there that are way over the top. I like the idea that it's just a female spirit that approaches and then transforms into a screeching horror before the soon-to-be-dead Hero.

I would rate this miniature 4/5

Finally we have the The Shadow Witch. Now the story behind this Villain is that she was wrongly hanged. So I tried to find something that would work. I was over the moon to find this by Epic Miniatures https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/11550403...ch_click=1
£11 ($12.16)

Pros and cons of this miniature:

Pros
Fits the thematically well.

Cons:
scale is too big in my opinion
I don't like the skull on the left hip

Conclusion
It's great to use as a Villain. With Halloween approaching I'm going to use this in a game and I can't wait. I've enjoyed painting it too.

I would rate this miniature 4/5

Thanks for looking everyone. I'm in the process of painting my next Villain(s) at the moment and I intend to post them before Halloween. It's quite a large project but I'm in the zone and I'm enjoying the painting and gaming I've been having recently!
If you've liked having a look, I'd like to hear what you think. Even if it's not for you, I still like to hear your thoughts.

Happy gaming and painting folksZombie17

Great to be in the ZONE(hopefully one of these days I'll get there again).
Ghost have always given me trouble & I've tried white with a green or blue wash
but it never quite works for me.

I presume that's a wash your using do you cut it with water, if so what %.

Hi OD, I've experimented with ghosts quite a bit in the past with varying results. If I was being self critical, I think the shades may be a little too subtle which creates a kind of washed out finish. I used Games Workshop Nihilakh Oxide with contrast medium at a 1:3 ratio (the 3 is contrast medium). I used a stronger mix and did some recess shading (just the darkest areas). Plus I used a OOP Glaze by GW called Waywatcher Green. I finished by highlighting with White Scar.

Hope that helpsWatchmen02

These are fantastic!!! Probably among my favorite you’ve done. I have had really REALLY bad luck with my experiments on the Shadows of Brimstone ghosts. Will have to reference your stuff here for inspiration next time I try to paint an ephemeral spirit. I’ve just been avoiding them up to this point haha
