Wink Painting Manhood restored
Last Summer I spray base coated BattleLore2 Base Game & 2
Expansion figs. It was a disaster the spray dried fuzzy Zombie23
I tried to clean them up but no dice, I tried painting anyway and
had to stop it looked terrible.

Totally spooked I haven't tried again (I guess the problem was
too much humidity as I never had a problem with spray base
coating before).

I purchased Zombicide Black Plague & it's Wulfsburg Expansion
and really wanted to paint them up but then again I didn't want
to ruin them. I did buy some Army Painter Necroflesh Primer
just in case I got up the nerve.

Today my wife went down to the Casino so my garage was
freed up and I check the Humidity was 55% so I went for it.

The Zombie figs got the Necroflesh and the Survivors & wulfz
got some black satin primer. It worked out the primers took
perfectly, so it looks Like a Summer Painting project can
get underway.

Hopefully I can make some progress before more BP Expansions
hit retail and add to my backlog (I didn't back the KS).

lol I read it as that tooZombie17

Glad you've got the painting bug again. I really need to get some of this free time I keep hearing about. Ever since marriage and a few kids it seems to have evaporated... I miss it though and I keep buying more figures.

Back in the saddle again

I've been picking up bits & pieces of Zombicide Black Plague
on e-bay & have now got what I wanted from the first releases.

As mentioned I was able to finally over my Battlelore2 base
coating massive screw up & get the BP figs base coated.

I did however notice that the black primer I used was a
gloss so I've been worried that it might take light paint
very well. But as I used it for my first batch of heroes I
decided to stick with it and use it for the figs I got on ebay.

So today I bit the bullet and tried some flesh paint out on a
few of the hero figs. Happily it took so I finally ready to get
back to painting after a year.

Want to come to my place? I want to paint... But do you want to wash, desprue/clean and glue all my models? Some look like they're going to need to be puttied even.

I have full sets of Bones and Bones 2, Dungeon Saga, two 1000-point armies for Kings of War [half desprued!]... And that's excluding board games. And Bones 3 in a couple months...

And you mention a problem with prime. I hate priming! I just want to *paint* even though I suck at it.

RE: Painting Manhood restored
Progress after much inaction I finally started painting! I started with 6 Zombicide
Black Plague Necromancers & just finished them up.

I was very pleased with the results as the previously Battlore2 screw up left me
rather negative about painting.

So here's what I have left: (Note I'm using a Midnight RPG as the Theme hence the
Survivor racial types.

Legates (Necromancers)-6=DONE

Dorns (Survivors)-7

Elves (Survivors)-4

Dwarves (Survivors)-4

Saracosans-(Survivors)-18

Bishops-(Special Zombies)-3

Walkers-(Zombies)-35

Runners -(Zombies)-14

Fatties--(Zombies)-14

Abomination-(Zombies) 1

Wolfz-21

Crowz-21

NPC #1 -(Zombies)-20

NPC #2-(Zombies)-20

Deadeye Walkers-(Zombies)-20

Specials- Black Currant/Snow White
(Oruk/Duke's Mistress)

RE: Painting Manhood restored
So I'm 132 figs painted on the Zombicide Black Plague Project and I still have all the Core Game
Runners & Walkers + 12 NPC to do. Sam I'm on a roll so 2017 by the end of January should do it
UNLESS I fall into the dreaded Painting Slump & in that case the figs will set there on my painting
desk for months.

I really enjoy painting & I hope to go on to paint up my Gears of War figs that have been base coated
for 3 years & glare at me from the shelves as I'm working on the Black plague figs.
