RE: Pick Up Locations
Pick up and Searching is basicly the same. You only use the discard pile of the hero deck instead.

I am the reason God stopped watching.

Had to pick the Hanger huh ? So as a Hero, in the Hanger. You can instead of moving or seaching. Use the Pick up Ability to draw the Signal Flare , out of the discard pile. Make a ranged Attack. On a 2+, you should not fail killing a Zombie. Discard after use. Next turn, repeat.

Its an obnoxious thing to do, fun though. It works very well depending on the scenario, and board lay out. It almost becomes more valuable than a gun shop.

But remember no card can be used more than once per turn... even if it went to the discard pile.

RE: Pick Up Locations
What about procedure? Can the players look through the discard pile before they choose to use the building's Pick Up: to make sure the required item is there?

Yep pasngr46n2... the discard piles are public.... you can browse any of then at any time.

Supposing there are 2 heroes in the hangar they can look the discard pile before their turns and then decide that each one of then will search for a signal flare and shoot it. (Of course they still need 2 signal flares in the discard pile.)

we have a house rule. once you've searched/picked up, you have to leave the building. you can go back in and search etc next turn. keeps 'em moving.
