I downloaded Project Zomboid about a year ago messed around with it briefly. Don't have time to play, but it is a lot of fun.

I've played a lot of Project Zomboid. Really great game. I haven't tried multiplayer yet. The single player game is truly good though.

The game's premise is that its the story of how you die. In fact it says right in the beginning, "this is the story of how you die". And you will die eventually. There is no winning this game.

Collect water in pots and build rain catchers before the power and water go out. Scavenge bags of chips, meds, barricade the windows, and hold out as long as you can. Its very immersive.

Its still in Early Access but gets regular updates and there is tons of content to spend many hours playing. The Devs are really devoted and communicate a lot with the community. I follow the development of this one pretty closely.

Right now I'd say Project Zomboid is one of the best zombie apocalypse survival games out there, as long as you don't require amazing graphics to enjoy a game.
