Revenge Served Hot
This is my Solo take on the 1st Quest 'Big Game Hunting" using 4 Survivors.
I'm using the Game World of the OoP Midnight RP Game as a
background (this Setting is explained in the Variant Topic Forum)
so the Terms used for Zombies is changed to fit into that world.

Walker=Fell
Ungral=Runner
Faengral=Fatty


12th Shareel YS2- A Vault somewhere in Cambrial's Merchant Ward.

Sister Ann, well met I'm glad you found our new refuge, we were worried
as it's been 2 Helials since we fled and we were afraid you did not find the
coded symbols we left or worst had fallen. Still its not yet morning and it was
dangerous of you to travel in the dark.

Your signs were clear Baldric but I've been staking out my Charter House;
are the others here I have urgent need of help in my Quest?

Well Silas and Nelly are out trying to find supplies but Samson and
Clovis are here both sleeping off a hang over. Perhaps hiding under
a Tavern was not the best location but we had little choice as this
is where the escape portal landed us. But what Quest?

My Charter House has become a laboratory for blasphemy the Legates
are using it to create monstrosities from dead flesh. I will not have my
House defamed by these impurities we must destroy these vile creatures.

Ann ,Sister calm down you'll wake Sampson and Clovis and alert the Fell.
I know you see sacrilege but the sanctity of your House was destroyed
by the Shadow forces, your Quest smacks of revenge which even if
successful will be meaningless . We Survivors risk our lives for
supplies and the chance to live another day, to go looking for trouble
is just pointless.

By the sweet Moon Goddess can't a Dwarf get some rest without all this
yammering. Baldric perhaps being a Wizard it seems fine to hunker
down in some damn hole and call it living but in Cambrial revenge is
all we have. Everything we had is gone and we're surrounded by
undead creatures and frankly if we just sit here we're as dead as the Fell.
I'm for helping Sister Ann what say you Clovis?

I say you shouldn't kick a man with a father of all headaches in the ribs
to wake him. Sister I do not follow your Southern Religion your Rider
Gods hold nothing for me but when White Cliff fell to the Shadow I
lost family and all I held dear. I have sworn revenge on all minions
of Izrador . I will take your Quest and we will find our vengeance.

So Baldric will you come with us?

Ann we 6 have taken an Oath to stick together so as the rest of you are
determined to do this Quest I will come. At least if we succeed it will
draw the Shadows attention to the Temple Quarter and away from our
location. I leave a note for Silas and Nelly to explain things.

Now as daylight will soon be upon us let's break our fast and be gone with
the morning light.

Baldric Journal-Evening 12th Shareel YS2

By some favor of The Riding Host we are all still alive after Sister Ann's
Quest although the Dwarf Samson is gravely wounded. I record this
morning events with trembling hands the horror being still upon me .
Whether the greater horror was from the monstrous creatures of the
undead Fell or from the obsession of Sister Ann I'm not sure.

We arrive at the Charter House court yard without incident and all appeared
to be deserted. Sister Ann told us from her observations there 7 locations
being used by the Legates for their vile experiments the Cellarer's Office ,

Chapel, Old Stables ,Workshop, The Prioress Room ,Sister Laura's Cell and

the Sewing Room. She and I would go North to the Cellarer's Office and

send Clovis and Samson South to the Repair Shop. Both locations were

involved in the foul experiments and both contained secret vaults that would

help us move unnoticed.

Sister Ann then moved quickly broke the Cellarer's door using her short

sword and stepped inside, I was caught off guard by her mad rush and ran

after her and discovered a room full of foul equipment of the Shadow.

Smashing laboratory equipment I was surprised by a movement in the corner

as a Legate tried to rush past me. I hurried up a Magma Blast but missed.

Clovis hearing the blast ran back to see if we were in trouble and cut

down the Legate who was trying to escape. Sampson followed behind him

but as no other danger threated simply searched the room and found a

Great Sword.

I suggested that we had obviously found the Legates main laboratory

so that we accomplished our main objection and should leave. Sister

Ann would have none of it saying there still 6 other locations that needed

cleansing plus somewhere on the grounds there was an Abomination that

was an affront to the Rider Host and must be destroyed. Clovis and Samson

their blood lust up supported her so we decided to keep our party together

and use the vault to enter the Chapel.

We first searched the Cellarer's Office some more Sister Ann found a jar of Dragon Bile
which now at least gave us a chance if we encountered the Abomination . I forced the Vault
opened and we all entered Clovis found a hidden prize a Orc Crossbow. I mentioned to Sister
Ann that for a Charter House there seemed to be a lot of weapons laying around. She said that
Orcs from the Shadow's Army had occupied the place briefly before they moved out and left
it to the Fell. We now could hear the shuffling of the undead above us following the noise
we made but also a directing voice another Legate was present so we moved down the
tunnel to the Chapel.

Clovis broke through the Chapel Vault Door and killed a Faengral lurking there so the
Orc Crossbow was a lucky find as these big fell are hard to kill. Sister Ann destroyed
the laboratory equipment while the rest of us looked around for any discarded weapons.
We could now hear Fell scratching at the locked Chapel door.

The Chapel was huge so we continued to search Sister Ann found a Scroll with a Death
Strike Spell which she gave to me. Clovis was ambushed by a Fell which we hadn't noticed
but he quickly dispatched it. I found another Death Strike Scroll so now was double armed.
Samson went into the old stable and killed an Ungral then destroyed the laboratory equipment.

Sister Ann now moves through the old stable breaks down the door and enters the court yard
into the arms of 2 Fell. I follow her and use my Death Strike Spells to destroy both. Clovis
follows us outside and Sampson moves to the court yard and seeing a Legate moves to
block his escape. The Legate however easily slips around the Dwarf.

Desperate now to avoid the Fell advancing from the North and West and to stop the Legate
from escaping.

Sister Ann forces her way into the Workshop encountering 3 Fell with her Bloodlust she
kills one in melee and Clovis takes out the other 2 and smashes the Vault door. Sampson
retreats back from the court yard to the Repair Shop and I blast the Legate back to Hell with
my Death Strikes.

Sister Ann kicks over the laboratory equipment then searches the Repair Shop and finds
a torch then goes down into the Vault. The rest of us follow her down and Sampson calls
a halt for a call of nature but I notice he has picked up a Scroll to use! I yell at him and
he hands it over, it turned out to be an Inferno Spell...Dwarves.

Hearing the shuffling of the Fell as they enter the Vault we run through the tunnel
Sister Ann breaks open the Vault door to The Prioress Room immediately we hear
shuffling the dormitory wing of the Chapel House must be full of Fell.
I follow her in and use Death Strike to kill 2 Fell in the next room ,Clovis comes
next killing a Ungral in the lobby and Sampson having no target in sight looks
around and finds some leather armor. The laboratory is destroyed but a group of Fell
come through the Vault and surround us and to make matters worst a huge Abomination
is in the room just across the hall lobby.

Sister Ann now drops the Dragon Bile jar to the floor and takes out her torch but we're trapped
in the room by the crush of Fell and I know she's fanatic enough to light the Bile with
us in the room if the Abomination enters. Desperately I unleash my Inferno Spell over
and over taking out 8 Fell, Covis joins in with his Orc Crossbow killing 3 more and
finally Sampson kills the last.

The Abomination and a Legate now enter the room, Sister Ann her Blood Lust up
rushes the Legate and kills him then passes her torch to Sampson and flees into
the next room Clovis and I quickly follow. Sampson joins us and Tosses the torch
back into the room we just left eliminating the Abomination. I suggest to Sister
Ann that now would be a good time to leave but she informs me we still have 2
more Laboratories to destroy and that anyway the only way out now is through
the hidden stairway in the Sewing Room so we'll need to fight our way down
the dormitory hall.

We can hear the Fell scratching outside lucky the doors are all locked and they
can't get to us except through the Vault in the Workshop still we still have
some inside with us. Two Ungral hurl themselves upon us but Sampson steps
forward to shield us but fails to block their attacks in spite of his leather
armor and Iron Hide.

Sister Ann manages to kill one of them and I take out the other plus
4 more Fell in an adjacent room. Crossing the Hall I encounter a Faengral,
again using the Inferno spell I take him out and move on to Sister
Laura's Cell. Clovis is right behind and sets about destroying the Laboratory,
Sampson also joins us. We have killed the Fell that were blocking us but
some more are entering via the Vault door in the Prioress Room.

Sister Ann pushes ahead of us into the sewing room smashes the Laboratory
equipment and shows us the hidden stairs which we loose no time taking.
Coming out on the street behind the Charter House and back to the safety of
our lair.

Nice Game the 1st Quest needs a lot of luck you have to take 7 Objectives and kill
a Legate( Necromancer) an the Abomination. This means you need to find Dragon
Bile and a Torch. It was very Lucky to find the Blue Objective Tile right off the bat
plus have the Abomination appear in a location that set it up for the Dragon Fire.

When all the Victory conditions were met there were 37 Fell (Zombies) on the Board.
