SMOG Rise of the Moloch Chpt.4
The following is my 4th Campaign Chapter Game. It's been a couple of years since I last had
this Game on the table so it took me 3 days to Set Up as I located all the various Cards the
Gentlemen & Nemesis had acquired over the last 3 Chapters & renewed my acquaintance with the rules.
But it was worth it.

The Unicorn Club-January 25th.,1888-10 AM

Sorry Sir, but a Bobby has just arrived with a message for you, he says its urgent.

Thank you James & would you be so good as to bring us more tea.

So Fox what the message say?

It's not good Homes, it's from Inspector Gregson & apparently the Grotesque Company is up
to their old tricks. They have caused a riot at the Bermondsey Warf & have captured several
Bobbles & are threating to fire the wharf.

God lord Fox,that wharf houses a Distillery & a Cokery a fire could take out the entire Dock District!

Right, you are Mantes, I'm afraid our brunch is over, James cancel the tea we have work a foot.

Bermondsey Wharf-10:45 Am

Ira Kodich smiles at the chaos around her as her agents seized the Bobbies that had responded
to the riot the Grotesques had caused. Her plan was working & with any luck the Unicorn Club
called right into her trap. Capturing & sacrificing the Gentlemen would to the glory of Moloch
would be a feather in her cap when the Master arrived. Even if the Gentlemen didn't show the 5
captured Bobbies would be an acceptable alternative sacrifice.

Bermondsey Wharf-11AM

Gentlemen,good of you to come. We've cordoned off the Wharf but haven't gone in so as not to provoke
the Grotesques to harm the Bobbies or fire the Wharf.The crazy lady seems to be their leader is holed
up in the Brewery with some hulk guarding her. Two other Freaks are on the North Side & those damn Clowns
are all over.

Don't worry Inspector, we'll try to get your men out safely & prevent them from firing the Wharf.

11:15 AM

Gentlemen we'll need to proceed with caution so let's move in as unsuspiciously as possible & split up.
Remember we have to get the capture Bobbies so no unnecessary fighting. However, that crazy lady has to be
Ira Kodich she escaped us at Shutcliffe's Dock & she's too dangerous let her escape us again. Col. Steel you
can go after Ida & the rest of us will concentrate on finding the Bobbies.

There's an opening to the Sewers in on the South East So Col.Steel your with me

In the sewers thank Fox.

Lord Mantus & Sir Home go around to the North Side & head in that way. Check your watches we'll start at Noon.

Noon-12:15 PM

Col.Steel emerging from the sewer ,gets his bearings & moves toward the Brewery anxious to deal with Ida Kodich
he ignores the Killer Clown just up the street.The Clown raises the alarm.

The Hammersmith hear the Clown's warning & following Ida's order to sacrifice the unconscious Bobbies heads
toward the Cokery to Neutralize her first victim.

Master Fox leaves the sewer & runs into a Killer Clown blocking his movement. Fox swings binoculars like a bolo
& neutralizes him with a smashing hit to the head.

Titus hearing the Clown's alarm moves to open the Brewery door to ascertain if there's any threat to his leader
Ida Kodich.He spies Col.Steel & moves to head him off.

Daniel Home entering the Wharf sees a Killer Clown up the street & moves into range & unloads his Derringer
into the Clown Neutralizing him. Then swallowing the contents of his Momentum Vial moves on to the door
of the Watchman's Shack figuring it would be a logical place to hold the captured Bobbies.

Damon responds to the Clown's alarm heads to the Brewery to aid Ida Kodich.

Lord Mantus entering the Wharf behind Daniel Home heads off toward the Harbor Master office thinking it
would be a natural location to hold the captured Bobbies & is confronted by a Killer Clown. Mantus
powers up his Steam Suit with an Eather & attacks Neutralizing the Clown.

The Killer Clowns move to avenge the losses they have suffered & move to confront Col.Steel & Mr.Fox.

Ida Kodich hearing & enjoying the chaos going on around her but her previous wounds that Daniel Home gave
her at Sutcliffe's Dock still linger. She decides to flee & leaves the Brewery heading to a secret exit
she knows Northeast of the Wharf. She draws a couple of Ethers from the Nemesis Reserves to enhance the
the Nemesis Powers.

Nemesis broods & takes no action husbanding its Powers.

12:15-12:30 PM
The stray Ether freed by Lord Manuts is absorbed into the Nemesis Powers

Daniel Home sees Ida Kolich running up the street towards him, he knows Fox wants her neutralized but he'd
suppose to find & free the Bobbies.Seeing no other Gentleman in sight he decides to take her on,Moving
to intercept her he attacks Ida.He expends an Ether to power his Gauntlet & his attacks wound Ida & knocks
her down. Then throws his Arson Cocktail on her for additional damage.

Ida Kodich staggers to her feet & blocked by Home attacks him.Homes releases an Ether to trigger his Evasion
Skill but still takes a wound.Homes quickly expends another Ether to trigger a Counterattack but Ida avoids
his blows.

Lord Mantus seeing Home under attack uses a Ether to activate his Steam Suit & moves to aid him with an
attack on Ida. The attack is successful & Ida is again wounded.

Hammersmiths open the door to the Cokery & then goes to the unconscious Bobby to prepare him for Sacrifice.

Master Fox confronted by a Killer Clown blocking his progress to checking out the Harbor Master Office
spends an Ether to activate his Revolver & attacks. He misses & attacks again but misses again.

Damon moves to aid Ida Kodick who is under attack.

The Ether released by Fox is absorbed by the Agent Titus

Col Steel lashes out at the Clown blocking him & Neutralizes him.Then seeing Titus is blocking his way
to Ida who is now surrounded by Mantus & Home decides to abandon his assigned mission. He moves to
help Fox but Fox shouts for him to check out the Harbor Master Office. Steel moves to the Office opens
the door & seeing 2 unconscious Bobby moves to the nearest.

Nemsis seeing the lack of progress his Agents & Minions are making lashes out with his powers. Fox is
hit with a life Siphon Spell & takes a wound. A Coordinated Attack Spell is given to Titus.

The Clown keeping Fox at bay attacks him but Fox uses an Ether to Evade & the attack fails. The
remaining Clown moves to keep Fox blocked in.

Titus rushes to help Ida from the 2 Gentlemen & plows into Daniel Home but he manages to dodge the
swinging barbell.

12:30-12:45 PM

The Ether freed by Fox is absorbed by the Hammersmiths.

Master Fox desperate to get by the Clowns blocking him he discharges his revolver at one of the Clowns
& Neutralizes him.Turning to the other clown he fires again but misses.

Nemesis concerned for Ida has Titus attack Lord Mantus & slightly wounds him.

Col.Steel revives the Bobby & then moves to help the other unconscious Bobby.

Titus renews his attacks on Mantus who dodges the blow but takes a wound from Titus 2nd attempt.

Mantus fires up his Steam Suit with an Ether & ignoring Titus attacks Ida Kodich & she
is taken down & Neutralized.Manthus then returns to his main mission of rescuing the Bobbies
& slips away from Titus who gives him a parting blow. Heading toward a warehouse he runs into
Damon who gives him another glancing blow. Mantus applies Ether from his Cooling Chamber to
seal his wounds.

The last Clown attacks Fox & connects causing damage.

The Ethers from Mantus Sream Suit activation are captured by the Nemesis Powers.

Daniel Home with Ida down runs from Titus taking a parting wound from the Agent moves to
the Watchman's Shanty opens the door & goes to the unconscious Bobby he sees on the bed.

The Hammersmiths Neutralize the unconscious Bobby & move back to the street.

Damon attacks Mantus using a couple of Ethers to boost his flame thrower. Mantus suffers
major damage but uses his Lucky Charm to negate half of the wounds.

12:45-1 PM

Fox primes this revolver with an Ether & fires on the remaining Clown finally Neutralizing him
& finally, is able to move up the street. Seeing the Hammersmiths just up the street he positions
himself to cover the entrance to the Harbor Master's Office so they won't interrupt Co.Steel.
He also applies First Aid Lotion to heal some damage.

Damon attacks Lord Mantus priming his flame thrower to boost it's power he blast the Gentleman
with gouts of flames.Mantus defenses are breeched & he goes down Neutralized. Damon now set out
to get revenge by taking out the captured Bobbies.He proceeds to a Warehouse where one of the
Bobbies are being held.

Mantus revives his wounds & Blurry Vision fade into the background as he recovers.

Titus in a fury follows Daniel Home into the Watchman's Shanty to try to prevent him from
freeing the captured Bobby.

The Ether Fox released is absorbed by the Nemesis Power.

Daniel Home ignoring the hulking Titus who has stormed into the Watchman's Shanty revives
the unconscious Bobby. Then attacks Titus powering his Gauntlet with an Ether wounding
the brute & knocking him down.

The Nemesis seeing his Agents on the verge of defeat invokes his Dark Night Power
Col.Steel revives the 3rd Bobby.

The Grotesque Company has had enough, their leader & the Killer Clowns were Neutralized,
Agent Titus is down & they no longer have enough captured Bobbies to make a proper sacrifice
to Moloch. The Hammersmith & Damon flee before the police pour into the Wharf. Ida Kodich
& Titus are detained by the Gentlemen & Fox recovers a Moloch Stone he found on Ida. They
then are turned over to the Police.

Inspector Gregson thanked the Gentlemen & they briefly speculated on the motives of the Grotesques
& the purpose of the chaos which seemed so pointless.

The Gentled then retired to the Unicorn Club for a late lunch & pondered over what they had not
shared with Inspector Gregson. That behind the Grotesques was some sinister Nemesis using it's
power on behalf of some being they called the Moloch.


January 26th.,1888

The Gentlemen have been given a Commendation from Scotland Yard for saving the Bobbies & have
opened the Royal Arsenal to The Unicorn Club. The Gentlemen visit various places to
to update their equipment.

Fox & Mantus decide to remain at the Unicorn Club to upgrade. Fox attends a seminar on Luck &
learns how to have "Luck of the Devil". Mantus visits the Clubs engineers & orders a Precision
Eye Piece.

Daniel Homes finds a Pawn Shop & picks up a Bayonet

Col.Steel goes to the Royal Armory & selects a Shock Rifle.

Meanwhile the Nemesis Cut bides it's time spreading Conspiracies (10 points) & developing
a new Power Summon Minions.

Epilogue: St. James Gazette,London January 26,1888(Excerpt)
"Daring escape at Newgate" Recent captives from the Bermondsey Wharf riot Ida Kodich & Titus
overcame a police escort at entrance to Newgate Prison during transfer ......

Great Session nothing went as planned! The Chapter assigns 3 Objectives to each side & they
must succeed in any 2 of them to win.Col/Steel was suppose to go after Ida Kodich but
ended up rescuing Bobbies. The other 3 Gentlemen were to rescue the Bobbies but took out
Ida instead & Fox spent the entire Game blocked in by Killer Clowns.

The Nemesis Agents/Minions hod the same problem the Clowns were to tie up the Gentlemen
but that only worked on Fox. The Hammersmiths were to Neutralize the Bobbies but they only got one.
The other 3 Agents were to see that Ida escaped instead she got blocked in & taken out as only Titus
was able to get her & it wasn't enough.
