First time with the Locket came up- at anytime I can discard it to cancel any zombie card? including ones that are already in play?

I believe so. I'd need to look at the specific wording of her locket, but I seem to recall that it could be played that way.

Any time you can cancel a card, you can cancel those in play (unless it says otherwise, which, currently, none do). There are a few cards that are MORE restrictive in that you can use them ONLY to cancel those in play (and not cards currently in the process of being played).
