I love ATOE but I got to wondering. What if they re-tooled it for ‘modern’ Times?

Modern Shadowbrook.
Center of Town with Doctors office, Church, Town Offices and General Store.
There would still be the abandoned keep, the old woods, and the old windmill and the manor house.
The only change is to make the Hanbrooks a well known local family of wealth and civic charity. So, no change really.

All the cards would be modern so they’d save money

I rather like the Post AWI background it's unique a modern background would just run up against a lot of other Horror Board Games.

Agreed. The biggest thing that ATOE has going for it is its colonial-ish setting.

Agreed. The antique colonial horror theme sets it apart. With a more modern theme I think it just about mashes up with LNOE.

Sssshhhh...I thought I heard a feetstep...
