The Cleansing of Tomb #9016
Glymmsforge,Starbright,Zenitus,Cycle 1

Orris & his Stormcast Castigator Squad recently Reforged have returned from Azyr to take up
their Mission to Cleanse the Catacombs from Nagash's Chainrasps.They have been assigned to
a large Tomb Complex #9016.

Zentius, Cycle 1, Segment 1:

The Castigators enter the Crypt & Orris orders the Squad to move out & cover the corridors that twist
off to prevent any surprise attacks. Eryk stops to cover a Soultrap & a Chainrasp appears to attack him
from a winding corridor but he fends it off.

Cycle 1, Segment 2

The Castigators continue to move to cover the winding corridors,Eryk takes down the Chainrasp that attacked
him & moves to the winding corridor it came from.The Soultrap left unattended by Eryk produces a Chainrasps
who attacks him but he beats it off.

Cycle 1, Segment 3

Orris & Valiant continue to move so that the winding corridors are protected.Eryk attacks the Chainrasp opposite him
taking it down & then moving to secure the corridor. Astrid notices a Winch at the end of the corridor he's on
& moves toward it avoiding a Spear Trap.He realizes if he can get to the Winch he can open the Crypt that seals in
the Hyshian Illuminator .Suddenly Chainrasps appers at the Wench & on a Soultrap in front of Astrid.The Chainrasp
on the Wench Drifts up the corridor & joins the Chainrasp on to attack Astrid the Rasps are joined by another who
moves in behind Astrid.He manages to fight them all off.

Cycle 1, Segment 4

Astrid attack & takes out 2 of the Chainrasp facing him and Valient attacks & takes down another Rasp then moves
back to the Tomb's Entrance as he hears the rumbling signifying the corridors are shifting. Eryk destroys another
Chainrasps & Astrid responds to Castigator-Prime Orris urgent yells to secure the Winch & moves down the corridor
toward it.In so doing he trips a spear Trap & is wounded.The Chainrasps counter attack as a Rasp appears in front of
Astrid on a Soul trap & Menaces him from behind but he again beats his attackers off. Eryk is also assaulted by 2
Chainrasps but also beats them off.

Cycle 2, Segment 1

Eryk attacks the 2 Chainrasps that attacked him but they both avoid any damage.Valient moves to support Astrid but
hits an Abyssal area of the corridor but is still able to attack the Rasp but fails to do any damage.The Death Rise
as Chainrasp close in as 2 more appear & the Death Warden materializes on the Soultrap opposite Astrid.Eryk fights off
3 Chainrasps but Astrid falls to the Death Warden & another Rasp. Still another Rasp moves & attacks Eryk & wounds him.

Cycle 2, Segment 2

Orris with Astrid gone moves down the corridor in an attempt to get to the Wench.Valient attacks & destroys a Chainrasp
while Eryk manages to take out 2 Rasps & heads back towards the Entrance as the Crypts are shifting.2 Chain rasps appear
& attack Eryk & he takes another wound. Valiant is also attacked by a Rasp but he fights it off.The Dead Warden drifts
with another Rasp to launch another on Valiant & the Glyph goes down.Inspired by the Death Warden a Rasp makes another
attack on Eryk giving his final wound.

Cycle 2, Segment 3

Orris now the lone survivor confronts & takes out the Death Warden but with a sudden rumbling of the Crypts most of
the Catacombs pathways disappear including the one containing the Winch.Orris & a single Rasp are now alone in the
corridor.2 more Chainrasps appear & all 3 move to attack Orris & he takes a wound.

Cycle 2, Segment 4

Orris attacks 2 Rasps & eliminates both of them.The Death Warden & 2 Rasps again attack Orris but he emerges unshaved.

Cycle 2, Segment 1

Orris takes down the Death Warden in a desperate attack & also takes down another Chainrasp.More Rasp appear & Orris
falls under the attack. The Chainrasps have repelled the invasion of their Tomb Complex & silently fade back to their
Crypts.

My 2nd game of Crypt Hunters

Well, I lasted 9 turns instead of 3 from the 1st Game.This time I made sure the Castigators move to cover the Tiles
which the Chainrasps could enter on & thus cut down the attacks on them. This worked but as the Tomb Tiles were
added to it made the Catacombs vulnerable to being removed so the Castigators had to pull back so to not lose LoS.
Once the Castigators began to be eliminated it meant that more Tiles became eligible for elimination, in the end
only 6 Tiles remained.

This was a Campaign Game (not really as there is no leveling up ) which adds a stairway Tile you need to find
before you can get to the Hyshian Illuminator to win.I had 4 unplaced Tiles left & the last one was the Stairway
Tile. As the longer the Game takes the harder it is for the Castigators to win as the Chainrasps recycle.

The more I play the more I like this Game it's simple rules wise, but the Tombs are never the same & the Tile
placement & removal mechanics are brilliant.
