The South Shall Rise Again
Zombie Games are probably the most over used Game
Theme out there (although Cthulhu is a contender).
So you need a Hook to interest a non Zombie Fanatic
who may have a couple of Zombie Games to spring for
another one.(I give you District-Z)

But here's another one I ran across on BGG -Confederate
Zombies(Zeds) vs a Union Army patrol .Co-Op or competitive
1-4 Players(Zeds are AI).I know Deadlands a CCG has
been there somewhat but TSSRA is a Board Game.

I'm an ACW buff & this Hook got my attention the mechanics
do give the illusion of ACW combat & period weapons but
with straight forward rules. The 4 Union soldiers are
unique as to Card art & the set up mechanic gives them
items & special abilities the Confederate Dead come in 3
Flavors: Zeds, Revenats & Glorious Dead

It's by Victory Games which produces a lot of small Games
in a rather hit or miss fashion but this looks like a hit
& its only around $30.The components look sturdy &
the Soldiers/Zombies stand ups are cool.( I could see
myself using some of my extra AWC miniatures as
replacements).

RE: The South Shall Rise Again
interesting review, thanks.

I prefer games where the zeds are AI. ( or rather.. my gamer group as a whole prefers coop games.. vs PVP )
