RE: Thinking of Painting ATOE minis, but need help with color
I am very excited, My models are almost finished.
A very special thanks goes out to Anim8r for the inspiration! As a first time painter I was really nervous about screwing up , but thanks to your tips I think they will come out really well. What I used: Brushes size 2 flat (used almost exclusively) Size 5/0 round (used for touch up in tiny crevices) size 2 round (used to mop up/spread excess wash) Paints (cost saving) Rustoleum matte white primer for Plastics FolkArt Acrylic - Buttercream FolkArt Acrylic - Apple Red Americana Acrylic - Black (mixed with red to get a deeper color) Sepia Wash - Matte medium, FlowAid, Distilled Water, Sepia acrylic pen ink Duct tape and 2 1' long 2x4s (attached duct tape with sticky side out to hold models in place n the board) Testors Dullcote fixant
My tasks are to paint 1 more layer of wash for the perfect tone, and to fix the bases. After which I will seal with the dullcote. Cant wait for the reveal next Saturday. Thank you all for your help on this. W.J. |
