[Old Dwarf]

OK this is a time honored hackneyed post
you see on forums to generate traffic & up the
post count.But as Mighty Sarku expect his Munions
to earn their keep here it is. :rolleyes:

Why did you choose your User Name & Avatar?
Plus the Bonus Question-Do you use the same
User Name & Avatar on other Forums?

In the tradition of these things I shall give my answer.

User Name- (Well I liked Super Stud but my wife wouldn't
stop laughing :shy: )Anyway I was just getting into the Net
in 2000 & Games Workshop (yes the Evil Empire-in its late
Republic days)was opening up a Forum.

I was a big WarHammer Quest fan so I joined & needed
a User Name.Beings it was a Game Forum I wanted
something GW'ish & as I usually played a Dwarf in WQ
I decided to use that name,except just Dwarf is rather lame
so I needed to jazz it up.I had painted my WQ Dwarf
up with a white beard,which led my game group
to refer to my character as Old Dwarf,so there you have it.

Avatar-in keeping with the Dwarf theme I have several Dwarf Avatars.I liked the Battle Lore Game Dwarf,with the dead eye
for this form as its a semi Zombie look.For Halloween I
switched to the Jack O Lantern one which I may keep as
its in theme with these Forums.

Bonus-Yes I'm Old Dwarf on all the Game Forums
I belong to.When GW's LoTR Game came it generated
a lot of Fan Forums so it just seemed natural to keep
the Dwarf going.Its handy as most Game Forum members
are also members of other game forums so it lets
them know I am who I am.

As to Avatars-As mentioned I have several,for LoTR Sites
I use the movie Dwarf pic.Some Sites limit Avatars but
if they have a choice of a Dwarf I use it(the new FFG Forums
has a nice Battle Lore Dwarf which I use).

the name deadrabbit holds a very special place in my heart. ive been useing it and the name Plug uglie sense the movie gangs of new york come out.
plug uglies and more importantly the deadrabbits wer two gangs in that movie.

i dont go on any other forums very so i wont use it for any thing other forums. but my xbox live account is plug uglie. my zombie team is called the dead rabbits (zombies is a adult game of tag basically) it is also the name of my dag team (hit each other with mid evil weapons and stuff). i also run a group of people in my city called the plug uglies, we just vandalize on rare occasion and have each others backs, mostly thats just an excuse to get drunk and always have a group to hang out with.

i dont have an avatar because i havent figured that out yet. im not very good with computers. if any one could teach me that be sweet.

User Name- I used to run a 24/7 live role-playing game where the game masters were called Magi and my GM name was Imhotep. My user name is the one I used on the board for that game and its stuck ever since.

Avatar- My avatar is actually a piece of art from a unique and delightfully gothic-horror-esque card game called Hecatomb. The art is from the Mindless Servant card. Its not a powerful card, but it was always my favorite piece of art from the game. Its just perfectly creepy and horrifically undertstated.

Bonus- On every forum I've ever been on, I've used this username and avatar if possible. I don't post a lot, but I do frequent WarSeer almost daily and I was doing the same on HeroScapers and the WotC D&D minis forums for a while. If you see ImhotepMagi out there somewhere, its probably me!

User Name= I was never much into Forums,i'm still
not but I did get interested in The Sims Computer
Games.So when when I was searching the web for
House downloads I came across some cool Gothic Stuff
(they even had a Lovecraft House) which led me to
a Site with a Forum of a woman who had designed
a Goth Sims.

I've all ways been interested in things that go bump in the night(..just don't go there OD ) so I joined & needed a
Name to fit and I rembered a book I had read called
Our Lady of Darkness,which in Latin is Mater Tenebraum,
so here I am.

Avatar=I never had one before I came here & I wanted
to be in sinc with the Zombie or at least supernatural theme
so I searched around looking for a Vampyria type
thing couldn't find anything I liked & Found the Death
Thing.I think I'll keep looking.

Bonus-This Forum is the only one i'm on,so this is it!
OD didn't include Signatures but I like mine-on the Goth
Sims Forum mine was "Mistress of the 32 Unspeakable Acts"
(its a title from the EPT RPG-where OD got Sarku from)
but people kept asking what they were & I didn't know:shy:

It was a game my friends and I designed called Full Contact Magic. You basically played yourself in everyday life, but you had spells that you could cast on other players to "injure" them and remove hit points or to make them behave in certain ways. For example, a Hold Person spell would make a person unable to move or speak for 60 seconds. It was a lot of fun, but life gets in the way once you get out of high school. I miss it though. We had like 20 players scattered around town and when 2 players met it was always interesting.

I have been Zombie67 since I first started on t'Net.

I wanted to be Zombie but as you can guess there were 1 or 10 already, so decided to go with my birth year and hence....zombie67.

My avatar is me, after a spot of Photoshop zombiefication! A larger version, along with my George A Romero zombie, is in the gallery.

I've been 'supervike' for a long time. It started out just as my 'ebay' name, as I'm a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings..

I use the same name on just about every forum I'm on. I'm a moderator of about 4 different sites, but am an active member of loads more.

My avatar, I just added, is just poor Porkins, the ill fated Xwing fighter. No special signifigance.

My name Emp is short for Emperor.
When I first got involved in those whole internet thing (about 8 years ago) I was on it for one reason only...my vintage Star Wars toy collection (and hardcore music).
I just loved it when I was a kid and I still love them to this day. So much so that my dad is designing a special type of glass wall to put in my new house so I can place all my (non carded) vintage figures there.
So Emperor is ofcourse good ol' Palpatine...the ultimate evil one in the original Star Wars movies.

I started out as The_Emp (also on mIRC back in the days) but later on it turned into Emp just to shorten things down.
I too go by that name on almost every forum I visit and I use it a much as possible in my other nicknames. For example, on ebay I am "empsteve" and on Xbox Live I'm AircavEmp
