We played a game of Rescue the Townsfolk yesterday, and an ambiguity in the rules came up that was relevant quite often. It's actually two questions, closely related:
- Zombies attempt to move through a barricade or remove a reinforcement by rolling 4+. If, for any reason, the zombie has more than one space of movement for the turn (Shamble, "Recently Dead" Grave Weapon, various others), does this amount to multiple rolls to remove reinforcements/break through the barrier? We allowed this, on the logic that, if there were no reinforcements, moving through the barrier would in fact be a move, so all attempts count as one move.
- By the same token, Heroes use movement points to remove reinforcements. Heroes' moves also "immediately end" when they move into a space containing a zombie. So if a hero moves into a space adjacent to a reinforced wall with a zombie in that space, can they use their remaining movement points to remove the reinforcements or not? We did not let the heroes do so, on the logic that "move immediately ends" means that anything done with movement points immediately ends. (And, thematically, how can you remove reinforcements if you're busy getting attacked by a zombie?)
