Figured I would get an actual thread started on this. As folks who have been following in the Light & Dark board thread I began building a scale version of the buildings/board for gameplay due to my love of the game and the subject manner and the minis just scream for a larger board and add even more to the feel of the game. So why not go to the next step with the game?

I've been trying to get time to take some pics but between REAL life and hobby life it is tough. But I will get something up to show the "in progress" work I am doing.

Here is a question regarding the walls in the Gym of the Highschool. I want to paint the team logo there however I am wondering what the name of the team would be? It would definately have to be the name for the football team since Johnny and T-Bone are there. But here is where I get stumped: The Woodinvale ________________.

So some suggestions for a name and/or logo would be grand. From the looks of the jacket Johnny wears we are dealing with navy blue, white and yellow as the team colours.

So give me a hand in developing the world of Woodinvale.

I think this is an awesome idea for a game like this. Maybe just look through highschool football rosters and try to come up with a name there? I've always thought things like "Vikings" or "Cougars" always sound pretty good. As long as you don't give them a name like "Unicorns" or "Lemmings", I think it'll sound pretty convincing.

The firs thing that jumped into my head was Woodinvale Wolves!

Probably years of reading comic books with double-letter names. (Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, Sue Storm etc).

Found this logo online for a team called Timberline Athletic Team whose colours happen to be Blue & White. Did a bit of changing to bring colours in line (wolf was silver, line was blue, background black) with Johnny's jacket.

Wow! I like it! I will put this on the wall of the gym and show the results! Would just Woodinvale Wolves or Woodinvale Timberwolves work? Which sounds better.

And in response to Sarah: I think there could be a bridge between the fan art/fan fic and this project I am working on. I would love to incorporate folks ideas into this so as to give a real sense of "Expanded Universe Canon" for this world. I figure adding in some of your suggestions to the look of this board is the least I can do.

Yeah I am leanding that way as well. And thanks for the complments on the paint jobs. I am gonna see if I can take some more "promo shots" of the characters with better lighting. Again the glimpse into what I am doing they buildings are nowhere near done but I hope by seeing these pics it gives folks incentive enough to make their own at some point. I guess by me doing the "Trial of Fire" I can give better advice when others decide to attempt it. Also I am trying to do this on a shoestring budget so as to keep costs down. In doing so I think it will make it still look like a B-movie set AND allow others to create something just like it without spending loads of cash. I'm trying to keep a tally on how much it costs me.

As I said, I personally prefer Woodinvale Wolves as it "trips off the tongue" so to speak and again for the old comic reason I gave above!!

My girlfriend prefers Wolves as well....well over her idea of the Woodinvale Fighting Prawns...I don't know WOMEN!!

Jake Cartright was a Woodinvale Fighting Prawn Golden Gloves Champion as a kid I think the secret is out now. :P

I would also go for the Woodinvale Wolves. It just sounds better in one quick flick of the tongue
