Just curious if anyone out there has tried to add a way for heroes that perish to leave the weapons that they possessed behind?
If it was a marker or whatever.
Keep in mind, I'm talking about items that were not lost while fighting.
How much would that cost on by the dot system rules?

I haven't done that, but I'd say it's pretty low value. It's not very hard to trade in the game as it is. Maybe 1 point. Two at the most. The only thing to watch out for is abuse if they use it to get past item limits somehow.

we prefer to have heroes with less weapons.

maximum use in one encounter is:
one 2 hand weapon (musket)
or
two 1 hand weapon (sword & pistol)

this after a hero battled the evil with two muskets, a fork and a crossbow-pistol...
