I am still kinda new to LNOE and only have the base game (yes i know how can i still be alive) anyway i cant decide what i should get next. i kinda figure it should be growing hunger but should i get any of the smaller expansions first?
Get Growing Hunger it adds a lot more than the smaller expansions.

What is with hating on survival of the fittest? It is the meatiest of the smaller expansions with new scenarios, cards and new game mechanics: barricades, unique items, advanced tactics and, my favorite, zombies with grave weapons.

Of course, get growing hunger before everything else.
Growing Hunger is great but Survival of the Fittest adds more interesting game mechanics IMO.
