My 12yr old son is really into zombie films....(nothing rated 18) and he got LNoE for xmas.

Since xmas day he's played it virtually non stop and he pestered me to register and donate on this site because he really wants to use some of his own ideas.

He even recruited good ol' Dad to help him custom a hero character:

I gimped it, but they are his ideas.

I'm really glad his imagination has been caught and was hoping we might qualify for the download area (please) so he can keep his creativity flowing.
Fingers crossed.
Hi BodySnatcher, and Welcome to the site.

Awesome, your a good dad (from what i have read) It is great that you allow him to explore his intrest.

TYour son's TinTin card looks really nice. Snowy is a kewl idea. Betsy needs some company Watchmen02

Im not to sure how the automatic pistol would work. Once it jams, does he lose it, or does it just not fire that shot or turn ?

Good work on the creativity.
Welcome bodysnatcher. A little question from one dad to another, vwhat zombiemovies does your son watch? I want to show my son some too but I'm affraid that the ones I have here are not good for him Watchmen02
Hey, great to see some quick responses.

My son really caught on with Zombieland which is a 15 in the UK and he's seen Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.
He plays loads of shoot em up type games so he's probably an older 12yr old to be honest....I think he said one of the Call of Duty games has zombie enemy soldiers in it??

The automatic was his idea and I tried to fit some rules to it....
I've suggested he can only fire the two shots into one target square (two shots at one Z or maybe one shot each at two Z's in the same square).
I think if the pistol jams, he keeps it but has to roll to unjam it in a later turn.....we sort of cross those bridges in game when we come to it. The simple rules and dice rolls mean we can adlib the rules when we need to.

PS: It's Boddysnatcher.....a play on our surname. lol
Ok thanks for the info. My son is not ready for that and I don't allow him to play COD Zombie17
I think you should loose Pistol if it Jams

12 is the new 20, hell I'd say if he's seen all those movies already,
any other hard core zombie movie wouldn't be to bad. I mean obviously
none with porn (well naked people) in them if you didn't want to expose
him to that, but most of the stuff he's watched already, I cant think
of many more gruesome movies that would be bad.

I was watching horror movies when I was 5, growing up on Friday the
13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Puppet Master, Chucky, Hell Raiser's
(witch I didn't care for when I was younger but are ok now), Chainsaw
Massacre, Halloween and everything in between. I don't think things
like that are bad really, as long as you understand it's just a movie, or
just a game.
Well my son is 10 and mild-autistic, so that puts allot of stuff into perspective. He knows they are just movies and just games but somehow he does not seem capabable of letting go.
I don't allow him to play COD just because it's a shitty overhyped game Zombie03

lol, I'm glad that I am not the only one who thinks this.
Gotta respect his creative attempt. However, pistol jamming is too powerful. The Sheriff's built-in ability to always search and get a new revolver seems too strong to us sometimes. Maybe give him sometime similar to this where he starts the game with a certain gun, and make the gun a card?

I agree with you guys, except for the zombie mode, it is the only reason I bought CoD: Black Ops, don't play the regular multiplayer, haven't even touched the campaign.

As arcadey, over the top, pulse pounding, co-op experiences go you can't go wrong with the simplicity and sheer fun of COD Zombies

And the setting, come on, fighting off the Zombie Hordes in the Pentagon as President John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Robert McNamara, and Fidel Castro... how can you go wrong with that?

Also, killing zombies in the frozen tundra as Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy), Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) , Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon), and Danny Trejo (Machete). AND George A. Romero as a special unkillable boss-zombie!!

C'MON! Can't go wrong!!

P.S. - Regular COD... pass, so lame
