for specific search cards like "i have found it" or "just what i needed''
you can still get any card from the discard pile. But you have to declare you are searching for a scenario item from one of the 4 piles. you choose your pile and search for keys, gas or what ever. If it is not there, you cant take anything. but you have managed to determine what pile it isn't and what goodies are in that specific pile.
