I can't remember which building has this (I think it was the junkyard), but my friend and I were playing this weekend and in the round where he was heroes, one of his heroes got to a building where the special pick-up item was just a "random" card from the discard pile.

We took this to mean literally random, meaning you just pick one card at random from the discard pile, you DO NOT get to look through and pick a specific card.

We weren't 100% sure if this was correct, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to clarify. Does anybody know for sure?

Shuffle, pick one up after shuffling. Or however you randomize. It's random random.
