What are your thoughts on this character's abilities?

I'm not sure on the wording of the last ability. I'm assuming that it means that when a zombie is trying to move into the same space as the hero he can stop it's movement on the roll of 5+.

I thought it could also mean that the zombie has to roll a 5+ to move into the space, but since that could be very odd and overpowered or extremely handicapping to the hero depending on the scenario I hope that's not what you meant.

I'm not sure what under the influence of hunger means exactly. Would that mean that a zombie with a shamble played on it or relentless advance could move into the space?

I feel like this hero is overpowered. I think killing 1/6 of the zombies before the fight even starts is way too much. Also getting to move through walls 1/3 of the time is also too much. I don't know how to temper the boobytrap ability, but I think changing narrow passage to something like may move through a wall by giving up 4 movement points. That way he can occasionally go through walls, but at a cost instead of zipping around the board with little to no chance of the zombies cornering him.
Hi, just my $0.02

Narrow pasage. I dont think i would allow that in my party. Maybe on a 6+ roll, if your roll for movement gets you there.

Bobby trap. If you gave up your movement to set the booby trap, maybe. Also it should only wound a zombie.

Zen, is this your special ability ? Meaning if another hero is in the space, can it still enter and attack them ? Besides that, your a portable barricade. To powerful.
These are all things I kinda suspected. My friend was the brains behind this and instead of complaining I told him I'd let you guys decide what to do. I like some of the suggestions. Any other possible compromises???
What kind of Strengths should this character have? If I were you I would consider making him great at stealth (Maybe have the Hide ability. i.e. Zombies need a 4+ to spot him. Tempered with 2 Health boxes. I've never liked the idea of Heroes moving throgh walls it's a bit of a game breaker but if you really want the ability maybe he can move through 1 wall with 1 movement only if he gets a 6. I'd call it Scale the Wall or something .

Or your Ninja could be more overt and be a Hand to Hand specialist. He could have 1 of Johnny's Abilities Tough (wins on ties) or Blitz (can continue to move after fight). He could be a Weapons Specialist +1 to Attack Dice or 1 Reroll or +1 on 1 die. This could be balanced by always having the Overconfidance Zombie card on him. This would tie into his quote. Oh yeah and 3 Health boxes.

Or maybe a Ranged Weapon Specialist +1 when rolling to Hit. Or all Ranged Weapons have +1 Range. Maybe have his own weapon Ninja Composite Bow Range 3 Hits on a 4+ out of arrows on a 1 or 2. Ninjas can sacrifice a Move action to fire the Bow twice. This Character has 2 Wounds The Bow can be found using the Gun Shop Pick Up or maybe hidden in the Cornfield. (a Ninja may Search to find it)

Just some thoughtsWatchmen02
All those are awesome suggestions thanks Samuraitrev!
Moving through walls on a high roll is silly. As you can pretty much get out with a high roll to begin with. Allowing to move through walls on a roll of 1-3 is much more beneficial.

Also, while your abilities may not be overpowered, there is no centralized theme to tie them together other than the names. Which really don't even work well on that aspect.

Something you should try is

2 wounds

STEALTH - May walk through a space with a zombie and try to VANISH. If you successfully VANISH, you may keep moving.
VANISH - May cancel a zombie fight on a roll of 3+ on the hero turn, or 5+ on the zombie turn
DEFLECT - Any time you would take a wound, roll a D6. On a roll of 5-6, a zombie in your space takes that wound instead.

So, two abilities tie him to an agility run and gun style of character. While both being pertinent to the theme of the ninja, and the last ability is a way to keep his 2 wounds going strong and can cause some shenanigans with cards that cause self-inflicted wounds, or zombie cards that give you a negative choice or take a wound.

Also, with Stealth, you basically have the walk through walls ability. A zombie is blocking the door? I walk into his space, hide, and keep on moving.
