I do, LOVE IT....
Now.. IT is a heavy game. IT will take about 45min per player to play and the mechanics are tight.
There is book keeping with stashed gold and ship upgrades and damage.
I recommend looking at the BGG listing for the game and Christians Official Beta MOD "Turn ends at port actions" makes the game faster.

Hi, yupperz. I also like the game. Yes, it can take a while to play, as Atraangelis mentioned. Still well worth the time and effort.
Be a captian, sail around, blow stuff up, and bring all the booty back to your home. Before someone else does
Yes, there is also the more noble path. Rescue some Lord's captive daughter, find the missing reef, become a mercant tycoon.
I'd rather blow stuff up. Them or me. It makes no difference
Aaarg !!!

I've been contemplating it since I heard of it. I've been wanting a good pirate themed game. Also thinking of Pirates Cove since it's getting a reprint (if any one has played both I'd love a comparison).
I was leery of it since it sounds a bit heavier than the fair I currently enjoy, but 45 minutes per player involved doesn't sound TOO bad, & it sounds like it has the right level of "simulationist" detail I'm looking for. May have to check it out.

M&M is cool, you can play as a Merchant or as A pirate
or start out as a Merchant & turn Pirate.
It's a beautiful game with a colorful Map & nice plastic ships.
It packs a lot of choices & you can win in either role.
Good selection of Captains & Ships & if you can handle LNoE
or AToE you should be ok , the Rulebook is well written.
