Resident Evil 2 holds a special place in my heart. The first one does a lot really well, but the VA in RE2 turns it from campy survival horror to dramatic survival horror with some camp. It has a lot of really great setpieces for a PS1-era game that drive the action as much as the zombies.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors for top-down silliness and real old-school nostalgia. And in what other game do you get to fight a Godzilla-sized baby?
The Walking Dead "point and click" style adventure games by Telltale Games for being able to capture the emotion and intensity of the show while still making choice feel relevant most of the time.
Evil Dead: Regeneration because it so perfectly captures the hokey campy silliness of Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness while still telling a new story. It gets extra points for not being a mess of a game like Hail to the King which was incredibly bad in all the wrong ways, or a boring grindfest beat-em-up like Fist Full o' Boomstick that got so repetitive after the first level that I gave up. Regeneration is just long enough and just varied enough in its gameplay mechanics that it's a treat all the way through.

Love seeing so many people who liked zombies ate my neighbors...we played it for so many hours when we were kids. I have always liked RE2 because of its suspensefullness however I am terrible at video games so I never really got into it far enough on my own to say more.
