What type of paint did you use?
Welcome to the world of miniature painting! Good job for your first try. I'd like to see more gamers take up this great hobby. Next time I would varnish them with matt or satin rather than gloss.

Good first go at it and thanks for posting. The first thing that jumps out at me is the type of paint used. You mentioned you used Testor's which, if my memory is correct, is an oil-based paint. I prefer to use an acrylic-based paint on minitatures.

Also, because I see some paint flaking, was a primer used on the miniatures before applying the paint? Because the characters are made of plastic, there is usually trace oil "residue" left on them from the casting process. This will interfere with the paint sticking to the miniautre, something a proper "priming" of the miniature should help eliminate.

I'll hold off on other questions or comments until I've given you some time to follow up on these points.

Keep at it and thanks again for posting!
Yeah testors is the model paint from any hobby store, not sure if its acrylic or oil.... But with all this paint talk, I did billy and Becky with even cheaper paint so they aren't glossy, no i didn't wash or prime, though it makes sense now lol.

What kind of primer should I use, just some gray spray primer from the hardware store.

And can I use water based paint, that's what I used on billy and Becky.

I'm trying to this all for as cheap as possible.

I use acrylic water-based paints but I also varnish - oil-based and then acrylic afterwards to stop the paint flaking or peeling:

Thanks for letting me know I will sort it tomorrow.
There must be a problem on my end as I still get broken links.
