Evil Chihuahuas, grandma’s cast iron skillet and corpses that insist on being uncorpsified. It must be the end of the world. But when Kate is bitten and her transformation is imminent, it’s just the beginning of the adventure. With help from her best friend Sara, Kate embarks on a journey to heal herself, defeat the uncorpsified hordes and maybe, just maybe, save the rest of the world while she’s at it... provided she doesn’t join the horde first.
From the Ground Zero laboratory near Fresno to the White House in D.C., the search for survivors leads from one ridiculously dangerous situation to another. Battling man, beast and a combo of the two, quippy Kate and sweet Sara refuse to admit defeat. Who knows? Maybe what folks need is a healthy dose of cynicism and stubbornness. Then again, maybe they just need an antidote. Kate and Sara have that, too.
In four humorous short stories, The Half-Dead Chronicles follows Kate as she battles against the uncorpsified – as well as her own Beta Serum (or B.S.) affected alter ego – using snarkiness, a skillet and, of course, Sara. The evil Chihuahuas have finally met their match.
