Sorry if I've missed this or if it has been answered elsewhere.

How are unique items from the Survival Of The Fittest expansion treated?

1. Can they be exchanged between heros?
2. Do they count towards a heros carrying limit?

Im guessing yes to both as the 'medical records' card specifically states that 'This item may not be discarded or exchanged and does not count against the hero's carrying limit.

Is there an official rule on this?

I would agree - yes to both of your questions.

They all have the keyword "Item" So would treat them by all item rules unless a card like Medical Records state otherwise.
