Sorry if this has been answered some where or is dumb question. I looked multiple times and searched and found nothing.

During the exchange phase of Heroes turn, does exchange mean that I need to trade one item from Hero1 to receive from Hero2, or can Hero1 just give Hero2 an item. Like wise, could Hero2 give Hero1 an item on Hero1's turn.
I do know they have to be in same space to 'exchange' period.

Page 11 of the LNOE rulebook, "Exchange Items"
"This is a back and forth exchange, so all Heroes in the same space my both give and receive Items with the Hero who is currently taking his turn."

You can exchange or give any items between Heroes in the same space, as long as the receiving Hero does not exceed his carry limit, 4 Items only 2 of which can be weapons (or 1 2-handed weapon).

I did reread that part of rule book, it just seems like one of those lines you need to read real slow and can be understood multiple ways.
