I did a whole post on the 13 books of the Nightside Series
http://www.thezombiegame.com/forums/Thre...ide-Series
which has now sadly ended. So when I saw this title at Barnes & Nobel I grabbed it.
It's a series of short stories set in the Nightside that gives background
to it's more infamous residents Razor Eddie, Dead Boy, Larry Oblivion
and others. It also includes a Novella "The Big Game" where
our hero John Tyler, PI takes on Sir Francis Varney, King of the
Vampires.
Green has a unique writing style , it's stylized and addictive
that's fun to read. He has written other series: The Ghost Finders Novels,
Secret Histories Novels and the Deathstalker Novels
but his characters tend to all be the same just with different names.
I prefer the Nightside Series to the others as it seems to work best
with his writing style. If you want to experience the Nightside
but don't want to commit to 13 books the "Tales From The
Nightside is for you.
As for me I just loved returning to Green's weird, Kinky and
inventively gruesome world one more time.
