Okay if your hero is killed on the hero turn and you get a new one and it goes in play do you then get to do everything with that hero- move, search, etc? even if your previous hero already moved etc for that turn

"The Hero is NOT placed in their Start: location.

Instead, the Hero may either start in a Random Building, or they may start in the center square at the Center of Town (or anywhere in the Manor House if that side of the board is being used). If the Hero starts in the Center of Town (or Manor House) they get to draw a bonus free Hero Card to start with."

I believe there's a scenario or two that changes this, however.

Would they then get to do move/search etc on the hero turn they arrive?

Yes they get to do their hero turn.
