Ok..when LNoE was in its preorder stage it really blew me away
eventhough I'm not a Zombie Game person. So I got the first edition
loved it so naturally I bought into Growing Hunger.
Then before GH came I began to notice all the web buzz on
the fact that the boards were lighter than 1st edition LNoE.
This did concern me as for me, at least something like mismatched
boards does detract from the game.
Then GH arrived & I swear I can't tell the difference!Which I
very happy about but it dose seem odd that they were so many complaints? So does anyone else have 1st ED LNoE & GH and
notice any real difference?

I didn't notice too horrible of a difference either. I did see the pix elsewhere and they were VERY different.
Maybe something went wrong during printing. Being a printer myself I could tell if I saw the differences. Anyone got pics?
I took the above picture this afternoon.
You can see there is a real difference between the 2007 main boards and the 2008 lighter Growing Hunger boards.
I will stress that it makes ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE to the playing of the game and you soon forget about it.
Sorry if that seemed very heavy handed but I am a bit fed up with the numerous threads over at BGG complaining about the difference.
The problem apparently was with the original boards being too dark.
FFG have said they will look into a board replacement scheme for those that are not happy.
OK-I pulled out my boards to match your picture & now I see it.For some
reason I just didn't notice when I compared just after getting GH.
I guess I just figured vegetation is not a standard shade of green.
Well BGG can get a bit excessive but eventhough it doesn't matter gamewise
if expansions don't match the orginal game in some way people will complain.
In this case it was overkill.

Hadn't noticed a great difference on my copies either. The cars are light as well, but only on the front, the backs match perfectly. And again, no difference in game play at all.

oh my. that color is indeed very off.
Personaly I don't realy like it when the colors don't match. That would bother me very much. Ofcourse it doens't change anything to the gameplay but it just looks wrong.
Grass is not blue
Are all expansion sets like that or are there differences in color? Something sure went wrong when they made these things. Damn...I mean...the lighter coloured ones look like they came out of a cheapass printer on someones computer.
Some say they didn't notice that much a difference but by the looks of that picture...man...the difference is like night and day to me.
Oh my ...
I've bought it and didn't watch it carefully... I'll have a look this evening!
