Dead City by Joe Mckinney.
I haven't read a whole lot of zombie novels yet but plenty of zombie RPG's and amateur stoires. This one has some funny parts and some good suspense built into it. Follows a police officer in San Antonio as all heck breaks loose.

Welcome on, dreadnaught. I've yet to delve into any zombie fiction yet. I'm currently too busy reading the Dresden Files.
