While this is not technically a board game it includes zombies so who cares. I've just bought the pdf and read through it. The pdf is dirt cheap at 8 bucks. The game has extensive rules for everything that could happen in a game ,but it looks like it could play fast. The characters do have stats but there is only 3 different kinds of stats so it makes it easy. Their are a ton of different characters such as Zombie spitter, fat zombie, twitching zombie, regular zombie, mob zombie. And for the good side there is the Zombie hunter leader, swat team, police, helpless survivors, survivors with guns and they all have a point system for each character. So regular zombies are cheap and so are helpless survivors. You can use any minis in this game too. This is a link to a demostration of one of the battles. copy and paste it.

Yea I thought the same, oh and some edits to my post, there only 2 stats to each charcter so it makes it even simpler (better) and I thought I remembered spitter zombie in there but there is not. I'll post when I get around to trying it.

Haven't got around to trying the game yet. So damn busy around this time but I did check out the troop builder that you get when you join the songofblades yahoo group. You can create anything from zombies with chainsaws to tanks (yes l4d tanks) . I'm even going to create a spitter and a boomer. Should be able to try it out within the next week or so.

I'm so rediculously jealous of that city and the models. Amazing. I wouldn't even know where to start.
