I felt the same way about the Outer space
Games and finally decided to pass.

The pulp adventure stuff is a must have (right behind
an AToE 3rd Expansion)for me.

I'ts really interesting how our taste in Games differ even
here on a dedicated FFP Fan Site.

i hated ifos at first and now ive got the box coming to my house in the mail, so maybe this will grow on me too.

im just worried its gunna be a slightly modified atoe like ifos was to lnoe.

Overall, this looks pretty cool and exciting, although, I agree with other posters: I've barely had time to play all the FFP games as it is. I think my biggest immediate concern is the new acronym.
We have LNOE, ATOE, IFOS, COPE, and now...FAG?
Suppose it is too late in production to change it to Glory and Fortune?
Perhaps F&G will have to suffice.

HHHHHHHmmmmmmmmm....well for the Brits among us it's simply something to smoke,
but F&G is the way to go.

Yeah, I like F&G for an acronym.

Look at that suggested price tag!

RE: Fortune and Glory: - Old Dwarf - 03-24-2011 11:08 PM

Well that seems to be the price point for games like this, on line discounters will knock it around 65-70 US$

Ooof. The price tag hits a little hard, but... well, I imagine I'll get a lot more out of the game than, say, 3-4 trips to the movies with my wife. The box is twice as big as their $50 games, and it sounds like it's got twice as much loaded into it. So... yeah. I'll still be picking it up.

A little painful for a man on a teacher's salary, but I'm betting it'll be worth it.

If the price is that high, I won't be able to get it. It's hard enough to afford $60 ['suggested price'] for games.

Yes, Flying Frog also addressed my concerns when linking to this article via their facebook page: "New article on FANG (Fortune and Glory): http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/19683.html".

Although 'FANG' sounds cool, I think it is a stretch, and still like 'F&G' better. haha.
