I dont have AToE yet, but was wondering how viable it would be.
Or at least an add-on expansion map like the Coast.
Would it change the game mechanics or require more work, cars, etc than its worth?

I have SWTHC & preordered The Coast,the Expansions add to the Game but AToE is fine by itself.The SWTWC does include Solo Rules
& some enhanced Tables.
They do keep the Game fresh if your really into AToE then
you should get the Expansions & that includes the 2 Hero Packs.

If you creat your own map you would have to come up with new locations and decks for them. It would certainly be doable but would take some time and thought with regards to benefits and dangers at each location on the new game board.
